clean s13, I feel like it needs a type x wing to finish off the areo. I've been debating on an rs entharpy or Jim wolf tune for my sr20 swap. I like your approach to modifying your car, definitely subscribed for more 240sx content!

Thanks, I actually had a type x wing on it for a while, but took it off. After a while it looked more and more like a cartoon wing and after a while that is all I saw, haha. I am going to do something custom when I get to if after the other aero bits I plan to fabricate.

How long does it takes to get your ecu back from them after you order from them?
@CompressorSurge8 жыл бұрын
Just found your channel but did you dyno it before/after? Thinking about getting an Enthalpy tune as well.
@Spaceboy17998 жыл бұрын
+CompressorSurge No dyno's on this car ever. My only "concern" about the tune is that when you load the engine to "0" psi, and the car pulls pretty good at 0 psi, the air/fuel goes to like 16-17 on my AEM gauge. It seem really lean for the amount of load on the engine, but I guess I don't know everything about tuning. At full throttle it pulls really hard and air/fuel is right around 13/14. Their shipping and handling could use some help though, haha.

I just checked my IG DMs and I got your message. In that message rsenthalpy states that "the ECU was dented from inside out, just the way we got it." Nope. My ECU was not dented from inside out when I shipped it as it was never opened cause it was completely stock ecu that came with my stock SR from the importer. That just doesn't add up. I did read your website regarding shipping but must have missed the part about removing bracket. That's on me, but if you look at my IG you will see how much care I took when shipping the ECU to you. I was packaged very well and I even decorated the box with a drawing of my car. :) What I received back was just sloppy in comparison. We aren't shipping tension arms here, these are essentially computers and I just felt like a padded envelope was insufficient. You admitted the damage was recognized when it was in your care, but it surely didn't get damaged during the shipping from me to you, however a padded envelope might not have been adequate during shipping from you to me. You've been doing this for a while so I'm sure in your experience it is fine, but I just didn't and I expressed that in the video. You guys forgot to send all the screws back to me, but I don't even care about that. I found another screw and all is well. They are very small and I don't blame you guys one bit. As for the tune itself? I am very happy with it. I don't think there is a better deal available. I understand the nature of this type of tune and the price point you guys are going for. All cars are different and it's almost impossible to account for all the variables. That's why I included a detailed list of my mods and even sent pictures of my engine so you could have as much info as possible. I have never contacted Martin directly as I didn't feel the need, my tune was completely straightforward so I didn't have any special concerns that would warrant any further discussion. I may schedule a more custom tune/reflash if he has dates in the PNW area sometime soon. If I do, I will contact you. Regards

Any updates on the tune? My ECU is on its way back in and I’m really curious as to how it’s been holding up for others.

Been solid for 4 years. I've been on a schedule for a retune locally in the northwest, but then covid.

@@Spaceboy1799 Where in the NW were you going or coordinating with to get a retune? I want to look into this option too.

@@ConvectionConnoisseur I tried on a Facebook group, but they said I was on the list and then I never heard from them again haha. I'm not sure when I will get a retune.

@@Spaceboy1799 thanks for the response. I have almost identical setup installed this week with sti injectors and looking for some opinions/feedback on rs enthalpy rom tune.

Just a question, so the ecu is a plug and play right ? Comes with tune with whatever setup you got and as you plug it in thebcar starts and is ready to run right ? Just making sure, great video btw keep it up!
@Spaceboy17994 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you literally send him your ecu and he sends it back with a new tune on it.

What size steering wheel are you using with the short hub and quick release? mainly interested in what the offset is
@Spaceboy17998 жыл бұрын
nrg short hub v2 i believe...just a cheap ebay 350mm "deep" dish wheel...I think its over 3" of offset but not positive. hope that helps.

Are you kidding me. Did rs enthalapasy send your 1000 dollar ecu in a padded envelope?! They charge 400 to re map and cant even give you a decent package thanks for letting me know.

Thank you! I was beginning to think I was the only one that thought that it was on the questionable side of things!

@@Spaceboy1799 I just got back an email from martin of rs enthalpy he showed me the order page which has in bolded red text that it will come in a USPS priority padded envelope unless requested for other type of shipping. Bro you asked for that so there shouldn't have been any surprises.
@Spaceboy17996 жыл бұрын
nsrracing1 I honestly don't remember that. If that's true and I missed that, then I guess it's on me. Still, I just assumed that the shipping method would have been a little more substantial for an ecu. "Just" a padded envelope shouldn't even be an option in my opinion. If you had seen the box and packaging I used to send the ecu! I even drew a picture of my car on the box doing a burnout! Haha. Also the condition of the bent ecu panel and missing screws remain.
@nsrracing16 жыл бұрын
@@Spaceboy1799 I completely agree with you about the padding but he does give the option for boxing it up however way you see fit, but like he says some people are so fast to order that they just over look the wording and completely miss its meaning. I can see that happening cause I'm guilty of that sometimes to. Big paragraph in red text and just going through the prompts to expedite the sale. IMO a secure shipping box should be the norm and no choices about it because I dont think anyone would complain that it came a week later as opposed to 3 days but was protected very well. Perfection should not be rushed.
