It came a year before the matrix and a year after the fifth element. What a massive decade that was. The soundtrack is beyond epic. Everything in that movie is badass. The best vampire movie ever! By the way, the dodging bullets scene must have inspired the matrix directors and also the black outfits and sunglasses, and even the alternative soundtrack, there are many similarities (like blade being the chosen one kinda)

Not to mention, it helped Marvel Comics to stay in business and paved the way for the coming, big superhero blockbuster movies like the first couple X-Men movies & Sam Raimi's Spiderman trilogy.
