I like how Hanus isn't LITERALLY just a giant spider, anatomy-wise. He's got skin instead of an exoskeleton, a mouth with teeth instead of arachnid mouthparts, tentacles instead of pedipalps, only six eyes, nostrils, and even a mobile neck. Makes him feel more alien, like he's only SHAPED like a spider, probably by evolutionary coincidence. It would've been very easy for them to just make him a giant realistic spider and call it a day, but instead they designed this cool little creature

There’s something called “Convergent Evolution” which two unrelated animals from different groups have evolved similar bodies to adapt to different environments. Dolphins & the extinct marine reptiles “Ichthyosaurs” are definitive examples of this phenomenon. Dolphins are mammals, Ichthyosaurs are reptiles but they both have similar characteristics: A long narrow snout & dorsal fin but they’re a few differences Dolphins swim by beating their tails up & down like their whale cousins, Ichthyosaurs beat their tails sideways like a fish. Dolphins have two flippers while Ichthyosaurs have four. So Hanus’ species and Earth’s Spiders are another example convergent evolution. Hope this helps.

This movie was so damn healing. God I love everything about this movie, I can’t understand how anyone could hate this film unless they expected Interstellar which if they even watched the trailer they would know this is a film about the contradictory nature of humans to both want to love and also by nature support our self interests and it’s usually by telling ourselves we are doing something good to make it go down easier. “You never asked about me.”
@miguelfagan85377 ай бұрын

Although many people didn’t like this movie Before my grandma moved hours away from where I was… this was the last movie we watched. The week before she left. This movie put a feeling into me that I couldn’t explain, it was… emotional to where I couldn’t explain what the lesson was… but to me I believe it was to feel grateful your loved ones. The universe says they love you. Because you’re here to read this. I’ll return in a few ages. So love yourself and everyone around you.

“She’s not here” is a feeling many of us know. To let go doesn’t mean the end. Just the beginning of new experiences. You are enough even when you think you aren’t. You are loved even when you feel like your aren’t. And someone will listen to your story if you aren’t afraid to tell it. Be strong and remember that we live for these moments and experiences that shape our destiny.

I was never thinking i will cry after a spider. I guess Hanus had to die, ...was no other option from him in the movie. The astronaut could not bring him to earth as humans would experiment on him, could not bring him secretly to Earth as well sooner or later someone would see him in the astronaut's house. Also could not go out in space without a ship or something......so...no other way of ending. It was very very sad to see him die.

This was such a beautiful scene. The film was such an unexpected reminder that love is bigger than anything in its way. If you can truly journey into the depths of your soul, you will understand that Hanush is in ALL of us. In the end, our loneliness is self-inflicted even though we are rooted in connection. This is a journey for the soul and what you do here MATTERS. It’s not the job, It’s not the cars, It’s not the house. It’s the love and the connections that are rooted deep in your heart. Don’t take people for granted and don’t take those who love you for granted. I really hope Adam Sandler can continue sharing these beautiful stories. He’s brought the world laughter but he’s also given us stories that capture the deeper meaning of life. I remember watching him in the movie “click” when he had to say goodbye to his father because he fast-forward through his life. That hit me. This one is no different. Thank you for sharing these gentle reminders with the humanity.

I'm p sure that hanus takes the form of whatever the person is most unwiling to face, making it terrifying or scary. This inner truth jacob was unwilling to face, was terrifying to him, and he had to come to terms with that. After he fully faced it, its no longer required, having been purged, and so hanus was fated to go. Thats why there's the symbolism of both the end and beginning, because once he ended the journey of purging himself, his life finally began.
