2:51 when the horizon is dead center (143,088 ft indicted) is when you can see the most accurate view of the horizon. Why? Fish-Eye lens do not BEND straight-lines passing through the center of the lens (they do compress them, but it doesn't BEND them).

Great job guys and ladies! Excellent video editing. And music! (so dramatic). I'm a retired engineer in FL planning my first HAB launch. Can you answer a couple questions? 1. Did you include the waterproof housing with the GoPro outside the cooler for thermal protection? 2. Was the GoPro's (filming the cooler) internal battery enough or did you have a battery pack inside the cooler? 3. How did you track altitude that high? Did you have a GPS tracker inside the cooler that works that high or another instrument? Thanks! PS: Bummer about the failed rocket launch, but the video of it slipping off is priceless!

Why are these fisheye lenses even built? I want a rational explanation as to why they exist and why are they only a product of GoPros!?!? Like I've never seen a fisheye lens on a cell phone or DSLR camera. They are distorting a very otherwise beautiful sight of nature. You can't even make a proper screenshot to use as a wallpaper because of the distorted image. :( Please next time you send balloons set your GoPro to record on LINEAR mode instead of WIDE mode. Pablo Corredor Not sure what kind of propellant you’re using but you could add oxygen for the ignition and for the motor to continue working. However it still wouldn’t go far because that size rocket would run out of fuel very quickly having to expend all of that oxygen to keep the combustion going.

Put away any bias...this footage shows the earth as a flat plane -observe as camera ascends. No curvature on the landscape as expected. Fisheye lens, field of view and perspective presents a false distortion. And even with the distortion, no globe curvature is presented. The circular portion of the landscape revealed is due to the circular nature of the sun's beam (as a spot light) and closeness to the balloon. Lunch your next balloon during equinox, in the time of a new/full moon by morning or evening when the sun is not close to being directly overhead and it would be something different with a somewhat elongated landscape, and we may just spot the proximity and size of the two bodies to the landscape.
@masterglitch0
@masterglitch0 6 жыл бұрын
"put away any bias" immediately brings in his bias comment. The problem with a fish eye lens is that you cant tell if a body is curved or flat... its just to record as much area as possible. You say the lens creates a distortion yet you and other people on here are saying "thanks for proving the earth is flat". well if you telling me that the fish eye lens is distorted then it cant prove if the surface is curved or flat, your countering your own argument. Also i just looked it up and here is a video of a fish eye lens compared to a normal lens of a gopro. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXiwcpeipaxprKM If you look at 1:48:38 in the video, you can clearly see a curve in the non fish eye lens. Lets say the sun was a spotlight though, and I dont know if thats how you get your heat in the flat earth theory but if a balloon reached as close as you claim it does in both this video and the video you linked, im pretty sure the Styrofoam would turn color indicating how hot it is or the balloon would have popped due the the heat increasing pressure in the balloon. Not to mention where does the energy for this spotlight sun come from?
@ekulenwaiku4654
@ekulenwaiku4654 6 жыл бұрын
Solemn Solitude I don't say the earth is flat because of You Tube videos. I know without a doubt that the earth's plane we're standing on is flat and so massive that no one can pick out a shape of it. Science seems not to be able to reconcile this flat plane reality and the workings of the sun and moon, hence, the erroneous globe postulation. Hypothetically, if the earth's flat plane had a curve glass firmament over it, light would appear curved in somewhat respect from above. However, the portion from every high altitude balloon footage isn't a representation of the size of the earth...how much more a globe, otherwise earth would just be a size of my city...just distortion. Speaking of the sun's heat. You are in great error if you think the earth is purely a physical place and that you can unravel the mysteries of all its workings by logical observations and deductions, aka Science. The earth is a spiritual place as well, and there are things at work you cannot see. The Book of Enoch details with reconcilable reason, the full workings of the sun and moon over the earth and how the 12 gates (6 tracks) that the sun travels through from east to west have windows that open up at their stated seasons for heat...(see chapter 74:8). I know many people today do not believe in God but some things are true whether you believe or not. By geometry, if you can see the curve above at such an altitude and conclude that the earth is a globe, you should be able to see a corresponding curvature say...standing on a mountain top and peering across the landscape or in a flight across the Atlantic ocean with such extent of the horizon but you never do. By science, your curvature claim cannot stand.
@masterglitch0
@masterglitch0 5 жыл бұрын
@@ekulenwaiku4654 As I do respect what you believe, I have to disagree with what you are stating. I do believe in god but you have to realize that there can be human error or that humans fully didn't understand. When you reference chapter 74:8, I do not see how that relates to our subject, maybe you can make that more clear to me? And with the suns heat, lets say this is a physical and spiritual world, you do understand that things can still get hot... heat has nothing really to do with the spiritual world, I know for a fact that if you heat up Styrofoam that it discolors and melts. The main reason why you don't see the curve from a mountain is because you in a mountain range, its hard to see because of the terrain, not to mention that your only around 3000 feet to 4000 feet above sea level, and when you look out a airplane window is because you still only 35,000 to 40,000 feet up in the sky, while a this particular weather balloon went somewhere between 120,000 and 140,000 feet into the atmosphere (more likely on the lower end). Another point to mention is that its much easier to see the horizon because there are less particles in the upper atmosphere than there is closer down to earth, less haze and smog. I look forward to your comment

@masterglitch0
@masterglitch0 6 жыл бұрын
@@kainestephens1572 hey kaine, the reason why there is sound is because the balloon is still in atmosphere, the balloon cannot actually make it into space because the gas inside is exerting so much force that it eventually breaks the balloon due to the lack of pressure on the outside, which would make it impossible for the balloon to actually make it to space. Also the reason why it doesn't burn up in the atmosphere is because its only traveling 9.8 m/s, even slower than that due to drag which is most defiantly not fast enough to create heat from friction. meanwhile a spacecraft tends to reenter earths atmosphere at around 7800 m/s or around 17500 mph.

Lol at the Flat earth comments. If you want to see that the world is round, just look at 0:28 you can see the curvature even when they are not up in the sky . But you can also see it at 10 feet or higher . This just shows that a fish eye camera was used. I'm not sure why anybody would want to use a fish eye camera when trying to see the world as high as possible, when a wide angle lense would reveal much more of the earth at the same time as keeping the image accurate.

That small spacex rocket started to configure itself and as it separates from the booster package it began to rise like a Saturn rocket . That spacex rocket now is higher than the Hubble spacecraft and it is on a 99 year mission to Mars to retrieve alien saliva . The DNA results will be in my tomorrow and all Signals point to the probability that Pomeranians ruled the sky’s for eons . This can easily be proven by their aggressive stance and barks yet being so small . It’s obvious that when one looks upward the moon is very small , less that 12” across . Pomeranians are bigger so this proves they can dominate the solar clouds and act more dominant . Since it’s the survival of the fittest it proves they own the solar system as their fur takes up very little weight similar to the moon . Likewise the same goes for their powerful limbs as they run fast like the speed of the sun or the Saturn rockets . This is all true and can help explain how we came from apes 💉💰💊💔

You’re joking right? This just shows how dumb people can be. This video is being recorded with fish eye lens. Notice how it curves not only the Earth at times, but the darkness of space. I see a flat Earth here.. still haven’t seen a real curvature in any video

Even IF the Earth was a flat disc, you would still see curvature at the edges, try looking down on a plate from above, the edge is curved.

the blind ones cant see the distortion of the aspherical lenses in this gopro cameras....And even think further to catch the FLAT horizon when the camera points to cero degrees. Nice flat earth proof of the horizon. Thanks for beign an indirect Flat Earther!

@@jonmac3995 curvature can't be measured and has never been measured....the same goes for the pseudotheory that the material plane is spinning! You are still indoctrinated under the Jesuitic religion of Heliocentrism.
