It's simply a vertical contrail .... condensation trail. The rocket produces exactly the same exhaust as an airliner and so formed a contrail between 30,000 to around 50,000ft. Passenger jets (and high flying propeller planes) form clouds all the time

Ah right. That too. Yes because of the water shock suppression dumping.. ie the water being dumped from huge tanks to suppress the shock waves from the initial ignition and the huge amount of water created by kerosene combustion with oxygen that's more than enough water released into the humid sea air to condense into a low level cloud.

It curved so it could stay in orbit. This is spacex not blue origin. You don't need to be a physics student to know this, just finish Grade 7
@dreyes783 жыл бұрын
They launch vertically first so they can hurry up and get through the thicker part of the atmosphere as fast as possible as that creates more drag. Then, once up in the really thin part of the atmosphere they go horizontal to gain the enormous speed they need to be in orbit. It’s not returning down to the earth. It’s simply flying away from you into the distance

@indigodragon06136 жыл бұрын
The Mojo Card Box The US is the best country to launch because our government is rich af. Saying our country is the best is naive as all hell. Borders are a human creation. They’re not natural. We should be working as one species rather than our nationality. Unfortunately, nationalism runs rampant in this world. It’s that type of divisive thinking which will prevent us from achieving peace and evolving as a species.

In my experience, when people shout "America", they're usually being kind of ironic--especially when younger people do it. My nephew shouts "America" all the time, and for the most mundane things, like having a successful bowel movement. So I don't think it's usually meant in an annoyingly patriotic manner. Ever since the song "America! Fuck Yeah!" from TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE, shouting "America" just hasn't been taken as seriously, I don't think. In fact, I just shouted "America! Fuck yeah!" a minute ago because I had a successful bowel movement.

I'm not sure how much of this launch you actually watched, but two of the biggest events happened that day. First, the most powerful rocket ever built was just launched into orbit. Second. Those two rocket boosters returned to earth and landed in sync, standing upright, on two separate launch pads. Also, NASA was Government funded, which means that it used tax dollars to fund missions and research. They didn't have the endless supply of cash to do the research and development to achieve what Elon and SpaceX has achieved.
