SpaceX's Starship Test History

With the impending hop of SpaceX's Starship SN4 and its continuing successful tests, I wanted to show how they got to where they are in just over 1 year. After the successful 150 meter flight of Starhoper in August of 2019 SpaceX went all in on development of the Starship spacecraft and us rocket fans couldn't be happier. These are very simplified animations of what basically occurred with each test article.

A Martian flyby without landing would be a 600+ days frustration. At least the crew could explore Phobos or Deimos while expecting the next correct Mars-Earth alignment for the return trip.

SN-1 and SN-3 were hardly tests to destructions. Test failures is a more accurate way of putting it

SN-3 was destroyed by faulty test procedure. An empty tank cannot support a full one. Any other combination of full and empty works.

SN-1 was test to destruction, SN-3 was test failure

Same with MK1 It's kinda weird how they throw around "tested to destruction" for both the failures (MK1, SN1, SN3, etc.) and the ones that were purposely tested to destruction (Bopper. Bopper 2, etc.)

At first, when I viewed this, I thought of the nice young man on Discord who put together some great simulations of the current ship, SN15, and of Falcon9; he had invited me to view his launches and such.
