I've been facing a problem the pink dot is not showing. Is it because of the new updates ? I've tried many times but it is not working.

How do you have different spacing between items? For example, if I have three objects (1,2,3), I want 1 12px from 2, and 2 16px from 3 - how do I do this with auto layout? Is it possible?

Hey Franklin, thanks so much! Time has really gotten away from me. I’ve been meaning to get back to making tutorials and maybe even some full courses, but haven’t been able to find the time to. Hopefully soon!

Hallo, I watched your cool video but I have a problem with figma. I want use deep select (ctrl+click) as your video and choose 3 different objects, but doesn't work it. I click on first object and thist object is marked. But I click on second object (with CTRL) and this object is marked, but first object is unmarked. Have you any ideas? Thanks

To add an object to your selection hold “shift” when you click it. 1. ⌘ + click first object 2. ⌘ + shift + click following objects

@@LovellLabs With SHIFT its ok, but selected all objects in a row. When I click first and fifth objects with SHIFT, figma select objects between too. I want select only first and fifth example. As your video (time 1:35 - select objects)

@@22danny11 Ah, I think I get what you mean now. You should be able to ctrl + click on the pink dots to mark multiple objects. If you click outside of the pink dot it will select only that object. If you are on a mac you have to ⌘ (cmd) + click. Also if the objects are too small you may have to zoom in. Hopefully this helps. Let me know if you're still having troubles with it.

Hello! Do you know how to make focus on Distribute (vertical/horizontal) spacing value on the Panel? Sometimes it is easier to select objects, but change spacing with keyboard, not by moving the mouse clicked on thin red line.

I’ve tried that too! I’m not aware of a shortcut to focus on the text field. Hopefully something they add in the future! 🤞

Curious how Smart Selection is any different from Autolayout.
@LovellLabs3 жыл бұрын
Smart selection allows you to adjust spacing and reorder objects of your current selection, but it doesn't apply any lasting effects. Auto layout lets you define spacing between a group of objects, and that spacing will stay the same automatically as you change the size, order, or number of objects in an auto layout group. It's really powerful but can also be really strict, so smart selection is helpful for organizing a group of objects when you still want the flexibility later.
