They still act like a couple of teenagers with one another but also, very clearly, very grown up at the same time. Oh, and yeah, their tiny house is gorgeous :)) Such a great testimony to their friendship-partnership. I hope they have many, many more years enjoying each other's company. 🥰😍🤩

Cliff Moore - Not opinion - they flipped the work week. They work 2 days and have 5 off to garden and travel. To be truly free, though, they need to lose the dogs if they want to travel abroad. I could not live n any house with dogs - most especially a tiny house. I don’t think we are supposed to live WITH animals. They could have outdoor pets - like goats, lambs and chicken, but this would tie them down, too, from being free to travel. When my cat died (which had been my father-in-laws’ prior to his death from cancer - after I had taken them both into my home during his last 2 years & he had been told he would be dead in 3 months), I wanted to replace it because I had grown to love it so much & enjoyed its company - but I decided not to so my husband and I would be free to travel. You can’t do both - have children and/or pets and the freedom to travel.
@Princess0ftheLight4 жыл бұрын
It is possible to travel with your pet, just takes more careful planning. Also, family could always babysit your pet.

This is now one of my all time favorite tiny houses! I appreciate how they kept it real, by telling of their struggles during the build - they are so right when they say in most tiny house interviews the homeowner(s) are usually all smiles, and everything is rainbows and happiness. That's just not the reality for most. I truly appreciated that they brought that up. I do wonder about the clothing being in the bathroom, as far as damp or mold in the closet? How do they deal with that? I think this house is pretty perfect, with the only thing I'd probably change is put in some sort of washer and dryer instead of a closet in the bathroom.

I love watching your videos Bryce--you find really neat tiny houses--the DIYs are so much more homey than stock models--and your interviews are so warm and friendly yet pragmatic also. Kev and Jan, congratulations on your beautiful home--that's the roomiest bathroom by far I've yet seen in a tiny home!

A wonderful story. Life is for living, not acquiring, and this couple are showing how it can be done in comfort and with style. Well done Kev and Jan. Now what’s that myth about whinging Poms?

I think I have found my favorite tiny house video you all have done. Such a well thought out layout, one of the happiest couples to be interviewed I have seen on here. The fact that they work so hard together, and enjoy each others company. This is what an actual relationship goal looks like.

Shit, a bathroom changing room actually makes ALOt of sense.

Only issue I could see is moisture, fortunately Australian climate lends towards windows almost always been open though~

@@Adsjabo yes, I'd think that steam moisture would be a big concern over time. I wonder what they think of that.

Yowzoe yep I'd worry about that too, particularly since Queensland is quite humid.

Proper venting will help. Also I would do the closet in cedar to help remove moisture. :)

@@Yowzoe Not everyone steams up their bathroom like that, particularly in a dry climate.

What a lovely home! It feels so spacious and airy. Love the bathroom, so big and bright. And the couple seems so nice. They certainly don't look like they are married 30 years with 3 adult kids. Also, their juice stand. Completely amazing!

Love their house! Their food truck is really lovely too. I hope they're doing well in 2020, it must be a difficult year for this lifestyle.

I love that this is a bigger tiny house. The double vanity in the tiny house is incredible and smart if you’re are living with a partner. The price they paid was soo reasonable especially to have all that off grid capability. I honestly bought he would say it cost more. And side note, 30 years of marriage! Wow. They look so youthful.

3 meter width is really the way to do it. That extra .61 meters from a "standard" 2.39 meters width is huge(!) difference in terms of spacious feeling and comfort.

How is the 3m width legal? I thought 2.5m was the limit in Australia?
@diegozer0076 жыл бұрын
@@ScottyTheAussie Yes, the legal limit for a roadworthy trailer is 2.5m wide, 4.3m high and and 12.5 long. As long as they keep it in private property and move it within the property every now and then (depending on council) the should be fine.
@adamhunter79576 жыл бұрын
You can go upto 3.5m wide without road escort (day move) or 3.1m wide (night move) - just needs permit and suitable route. There are a bunch of 3m wide shipping containers in existence that would made a good foundation and capitalise on the space gain.

Such a beautiful house! And I totally agree on their take on the building process. It does have lots of challenges - it's frustrating and rewarding, exhausting and inspiring at the same time. Lovely episode.
