It's so exciting for us to be back with our very first tiny house tour of 2021! We absolutely loved meeting Deb and Pete and visiting their beautiful tiny home. This is a family who really understands what's important in life and whose tiny house has helped them to be there for their family when needed, and also helped them to weather some storms of their own! We hope you enjoy the tour! With Love, Bryce & Rasa

Such a sensible family! They know what their priorities are and have made a plan and have begun acting on it. The tiny home is lovely and the property is just stunning. One of the best tiny homes I’ve seen, one that allows for family space, family values, and tips that are useful even for someone with a larger home - how to utilize a space well, to its fullest, and with practicality. (Drawers instead of a huge pantry cupboard - what a light bulb moment!) This home shows how living with kids is practical and possible in a tiny home, and feels roomy too. Love the home, and enamored by the family.

This is such a stunning home! For me, it's the perfect balance aesthetically, with the white walls, the beautiful timber throughout the home (especially in the floor!) and the beautiful accents like the kitchen backsplash and bathroom wall. It definitely feels really welcoming, and that couch fits the space so well, it's crazy! The extra width I think is one of the biggest reasons this house feels so big, it avoids feeling like just a long corridor and seems like a great choice if you're not planning on moving your tiny home very frequently. A wonderful tour as always, you make a great host Bryce, and your camera work is just amazing, Rasa. Lovely house! I normally don't like black and white decor, but it was balanced really well with the wood floors and worktops, and the huge windows with the garden outside! Especially loved the bathroom with the mirror door, and the loft was really spacious and roomy in contrast to many other lofts. My only pet peeve is the stairs, for some reason tiny houses often seem to miss banisters. I'm definitely too clumsy to live without one! 😅

Fortunately here in New Zealand we are free of community transmission, so no danger in producing content. We would never put ourselves or others at risk. :)

Loved this episode! Lovely family, and I absolutely love the design. It's my favorite design so far.

This is perfect, I live with my gran and aunt and would love to do this rather than all be squeezed in one house. Land laws in the UK are an utter joke and so prohibitive to encourage people to live in hateful, overpriced tacky houses on top of each other. Great house and a lovely family

Are there no bugs in New Zealand? Here in the US, there's no way we could have those bi-fold doors and windows with no screens. Very nice house and I love all the wood.

Ruth Tourjee I’m in Aus and can leave my double sliding doors open for ages without many bugs coming in. It’s mostly just a fly or two that comes in to die on my kitchen windowsill. I have a professional insect spray all around my house, so I think that helps.

Actually people have houses set up like this in California, lots of homes are designed to slide the doors out of the way and open the house to the outdoors. Definitely not something you want to do all over the US of course.

@@emilynolan187 Man, you guys are lucky. In the northeast, you would be chewed alive by mosquitoes. Actually, that's true in the southeast, also. Flies galore, especially if you live near a farm, and if you're really unlucky, horseflies. (They BITE!) In the mountains, there are blackflies, which also bite and are obnoxious. If you want fresh air, you have to have a screened-in porch.

@@emusaurus Count yourself lucky! Check out my reply to Emily ---we can't exist without screens.

No problem in Colorado either. Just the occasional fly!
