Could’ve easily taken off on his little plane (that he lost his license for immediately after getting it) and crashed in the ocean between Florida and his sidepiece in Costa Rica. They didn’t interview anyone who backed her up. They picked and chose to make a compelling storyline.

I watched this a few months ago and rewatching it I think Spade is definitely going for comedy, which is what he does. He has obviously done interviews in the past, but mostly with comedians. I think interviewing someone seriously is just the slightest bit out of his realm. I mean he does a fine job, and I love him, but he keeps going to the jokes and Saff just wants to talk.

Saff was the my favorite person on the show, and the only one that even seemed slightly reasonable. It was like, "Holy shit, what the hell is even happening now?" Then they go to a Saff interview, and I can calm down, cause it's like, at least a reasonable adult is talking now. Takes me away from the craziness for a second. It's funny, because, because you would think a one armed lesbian (transgender? not sure, and it doesn't really matter) that got their armed ripped off by a tiger would the "crazy" part of the series. But Saff is the most normal person in the whole series.
