I've had spaghetti's from many people, mostly moms, but I grew up eating spaghetti made by my mother, of course. She makes it very differently from the other moms. If you had some plates of spaghetti, each one being made by one of the moms in the neighborhood or my grandmother, and you ate each one, you couldn't guess who made which because they all taste nearly identical. Spaghetti at dinner with grandparents, spaghetti after sports games with friends' moms, or spaghetti at banquets. They all tasted the same. To be honest, they still taste pretty good and I would take that over most other foods still. Meatloaf supersedes it, not including mashed potatoes, but my mom's spaghetti? The best in the land. It cannot be beaten. Mix that with some meatballs or garlic toast, or a combination of each, and you got quite the feast. Nothing beats well made pasta. Oh, and rotini. Nothing compares to rotini. I've had the same spaghetti for nearly 10 years, and it NEVER gets old. I could eat it anytime. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Of course, the reality is that I don't eat it quite that often, that would only spoil my taste for it. However, I still think if I had to only eat one food for the rest of my life, it has to be spaghetti. Hands down the best meal on the planet.

Honestly, I agree with NL on the different shapes being better ratios thing. But I think he used absolutely garbage examples. I think a good example would be like snack-sized candy bars vs the full-sized. Or the Reese's Cup easter eggs vs the normal Reese's Cups. The ratio of the outside vs the filling is totally different and makes for a totally different feel
