I'm so pleased to see this car project being resurrected at last! I loved the progress you'd made prior to this, just a shame that other things get in the way of just being able to commit 24/7. I can't wait to see that car completed. It will truly special! Top job that man! 👏

Glad you're back working on this project, it's been a long time! Just a note, 14" wheels weigh less for sure but can limit your choice in brake discs so 15" gives you a lot more options (assuming you'll be upgrading brakes to cope with the extra power?) My 15" Ronal A1 wheels and tyres come in at 33 lbs, so lighter than standard but more options on brakes.

Thanks for the comment, in my second and third of the series I share about upgrading to 260/257mm rotors and both the 14" and 15" clear the calipers but your point is well taken.

Actually i sold the scorpion at the end of the 1980s as getting parts was becoming more and more difficult. I had forgotten that until you mentioned that challenge. Nice riding sports car and I had koni s back in the day. I like the idea of spending as little as possible. $200 for the car you got a steal

Hey brother hope things are moving along well. Yes, I had issues with my Diamante flywheel being lightweight but heavier car I think a worse contributing factor to that situation. (Tiburon 6MT)

Parts can be expensive for these cars. I got my Scorpion painted last summer. Haven't had a chance to work on it since.
