I do like your blue signs in Europe better than the Green here. I think they are easier on the eyes.

They are not blue everywhere. Here is a list I found: A blue sign is used in: Belgium, Germany, France, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom; A green sign is used in: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Lithuania, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Belarus, Sweden and Switzerland.

Actually that's incorrect. Of all the nations you listed, I believe the Netherlands are the only ones that use blue on all classes of singage, motorways and national roads. Most nations in Western-Europe use a mix of both green and blue with blue/green being used on respectively motorways or national roads. Most nations in Europe also use white for local signage and brown for places of touristic value. There are also nations in (mainly central) Europe that use yellow singage for certain road-classes, the most known being Germany. Most use orange or yellow for temporary signage, orange in case yellow's already in use.
