Just when I think I can't love this song anymore than I already do...Kenny Kirkland has to come along and play the HECK out of it. R.I.P. Kenny - you're missed.

First of all, R.I.P. Kenny Kirkland. He's still sorely missed. As for the band, 'slammin'. As far as I know, the complete compilation isn't available on dvd, but it still rocks on laser disc. BluRay where are you?

@WoodenBadger77 I assume you haven't seen the entire recording session because Arturo gets ample solo space on "I Remember Clifford Brown" and "Manteca" with Randy Brecker.

If you liked this, you might enjoy Inmigrantes Big Band, led by Uruguayan director Daniel Camelo. His original music blends jazz composition and arranging techniques with South American musical influences such as Candombe, Murga, Chacarera, Zamba, and Milonga. There's some clips here on KZbin, but audio on most of them isn't that great. But you can get his album "Puertos" on Itunes or Amazon...it's really cool music, NEW sounds. Check it out!

It is major smoken but at the same time I 'll bet that everyone on the stage was trying to be an utilmate pro out of respect for Chic...Everyone of them has played the tune to death and beyond. It's not enough tune for that group of monsters to shine on; it's a short show piece; The chart smokes and the band is fabulous! There is so much talent on that stage!!!!!
