FYI: "Spain" was composed by Joaquin Rodrigo in 1939 with a long history of instrumental adaptations until keyboard genius Chick Corea wrote the jazz fusion lyrics in 1971 and released the album "Light As A Feather" with Corea (Rhodes electric piano), Flora Purim (vocals and percussion), Stanley Clarke (bass), Airto Moreira (drums), and Joe Farrell (flute), and made it a jazz standard by 1973. "Spain" was recorded in several versions, by Corea himself as well as by other artists, including a flamenco version by Paco de Lucia, Al Di Meola and John McLaughlin in the 1980s, and a progressive bluegrass version by Bela Fleck in 1979. Corea also performed it as a duo with Japanese pianist Hiromi Uehara. Corea thereafter corroborated with Artie Marten and Al Jarreau to rewrite the song, and Jarreau made this popular during his world tour in an album titled "I Can Recall" in 1980. The phenomenal ensemble Manhattan Transfer also did their own version that captured the attention of those who were not really into jazz. The Light as a Feather version of Spain received two Grammy nominations, for Best Instrumental Arrangement and for Best Instrumental Jazz Performance by a Group. In 2001, Corea was awarded the Best Instrumental Arrangement Grammy for "Spain for Sextet and Orchestra".

@@julesdevera8359 With all due respect, Concierto de Aranjuez for classical guitar was composed by Rodrigo in 1939. Jazz artists such as Miles Davis and Chick Corea have adapted parts of that Concierto in different works in reflections of Spain. But Rodrigo didn't compose such a piece AFAIK, it is the Concierto he created. It is an awesome piece BTW and all 3 movements are a joy and an homage to Spain in their own right.
