Would Mestre Sirvalor use this mouthpiece in a Big Band? I've been looking for a mouthpiece that projects but without excessive brightness in the highs. Gratitude Master.

I would only use this mouthpiece for big band if I had to. I was working 6-7 hours a day with no day off on cruise ships and my 6* mouthpiece was too hard to play. This low-tip opening mouthpiece worked out quite well. I did wind up quitting that horrible ship contract and haven't gone back since then.

It's the Cannonball 5j mouthpiece that comes with the horn. Vamdoren 2.5 redbox reeds
