Spain's Epic Fiesta: You Won't Believe What Goes On!

Hello couple, the "fallas" have to be burned for the simple fact that there is no way to store them after the festival is over, it is also an economic issue since the fallero artist earns his living making these monuments every year. It is also a cultural concept since if you look at the monuments themselves they are a sacharstic criticism of the sociopolitical problems that occurred throughout the year, a kind of mockery of ourselves and burning them is supposed to be an act of purification and starting life again burning all the negative things. @@DubCmusicTV I will try to explain, The "Falla" monument is made up of a main figure, and other smaller ones called "Ninots", each commission and Fallas artist of that monument chooses a "Ninot" that they consider the best and they take it to the temporary exhibition of the Ninot before planting the monument in the streets. They are exhibited there for a few days and all the people, who want to vote for their favorite, the winner that year chosen by popular vote is pardoned from the flames and transferred to the Fallas museum before the day of the burning and stays there forever so that the public sees the best ninots of all time.

@@tafareactions2823 That is in Valencia's city Fallas, but there are a lot of Fallas festivals all around the Valencian cities, as this one is in Gandia, a 75k people city that is 70 km from Valencia city to the south. Being part of La Safor county that has its own different gastronomy (fideua its most known dish) and even catalan-valencian language dialect. PS: kids and fireworks is a Valencian thing, not a Spanish one. Other Spanish people think we are mad about gunpowder.

@@findingxanadulife we will be staying in a villa near Calpe this time for 10 days. We have stayed in Denia, Cumbre Del Sol and Pedreguer over the last few years. Our plan is to hopefully retire during 2025 or 2026 and purchase a property in the area and live permanently there.

The kids run around with them from such a young age. Most of them seem to have been instilled with a healthy respect for them, but it's as common as kids of our day, making mud pies..! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣😘💕🤟

They're something else, that's for sure. The intricacy is like you wouldn't believe. They have a museum/workshop in Gandía too, but we haven't checked that out yet. The Valencia Fallas is meant to be even better.... Glad you enjoyed it. 😘💜🤟

It seems unreal that such amazing and beautiful sculptures are built and then set alight and so so close to buildings, thank god that the health and safety police don't seem to bothered 😂

It takes each team a year to design and make, 24 hours to setup. Then after a few days display they are burned to nothing in 10 minutes. However the spectical of the Sunday night is amazing to see...

yes , for me is the biggest party...festival not only in Europe...problably in the world....none other city like valencia does somthing like that
