Good luck when they don’t have the huge money that tourists bring to the country and have to pay for illegals who bring nothing! This is very short sighted of them.. I get the part about home prices as it’s the same in Cornwall .. but that’s predominantly the rich who can afford second homes.. once again the working people pay the price for the super rich! Let’s face it there are many better places to go than Spain!!!

The native people in the end suffer from both 😂 but also if they dont take immigrants. There is no good option to be honest. Any of these options causes things.

You don't understand the problem, the tourism industry creates low value added paid jobs, the business owners are against all this noise but the working class don't see many benefits on this situation of mass tourism. Platforms like Airbnb are a real problem and you start to see laws against residential apartments in Paris, Mexico City and everywhere. These people are asking for a small reduction of the number of weekly lights, think I read 8% less flights which is reasonable. I love Spain but if you prefer other places you are free to go

The country and Islands were literally built off the tourist money and now they complain? They need to watch there mouth or they'll be out of work. Turkey also atm are taking liberties charging crazy prices. Dont bite the hand that feeds you guys

HAWAII has the same problem. Most jobs for locals are tourism based, but most locals can't afford to live in the towns they work in.

Okay, so they close these places. Then what? Tourism is all they have. Tourists may be occupational hazards but a lot of places would be finished without them. I live in a very busy tourist trap and although visitors can be a right pain in the backside, at least they come and spend their money. Sooner that than a deserted, broken town.

Yea prices are indeed insane. People are incapable of having a home but its also because of all these elderly people and people buying second of third homes in other countries for holidays.

@@AB-lp8jd it’s okay but it’s dumb. If Spain didn’t have tourism, their country wouldn’t exist. Their entire economy is based on tourists visiting their country. And it’s extremely brain dead of them to say “go home tourists” and then 2 months later I catch a couple thousand of them being tourists in my country. You can’t hate on tourists while being a tourists. Or you can, but you’re severely brain damaged if you do

Greed of the Spanish owned business. They pay a minimum wage in the summer and lay people off in the winter for the government to pick up the unemployment. Pay your workers a decent wage all year round. If the workers benefited more from tourism they wouldn’t be so against it. The default attitude in Spain is to blame the foreigners bringing the money in.

Como ganar todo dinero en entonces?? But I ask the Spanish how are you supposed to make all your money? Because the climate is hot and that is the reason the tourists come, it's a massive open door, you can't Seal shut.
