The majority of Dreaming Spanish videos I watch are intermediate, and I find all the guides professional and creative, with content tailored for the given level. I also consume several other podcast, which at my level are somewhat out of reach. This Dreaming Spanish Podcast is far and away the best podcast for upper beginner to intermediate learners that I've found. The pace of speech is easy to follow, the vocabulary carefully curated, and most of all the topics are interesting. I'm enjoying the podcast immensely, and sincerely hope interest is high enough that it continues for a very long time!

It started in the 70's with "disco" music, obviously. The term has remained over here in Spain, but the music nowadays is either raeggeton or techno/house/EDM.

I think Guadalajara has more bars per capita than any large city in Spain. Some cites in the USA have lots of food carts or trucks, street food, also -- Los Angeles, parts of NYC, Austin, and especially Portland.

No difficulty at all with this video. But I wonder how much faster the speed would have been if this had not been a Dreaming Spanish video but just a normal conversation between Alma and Andrea. Would it have been only a little faster or much, much faster? I have heard Spanish spoken at incredible speed. In fact so fast that it seemed to me to be physically impossible. But I have also heard English spoken so fast that I couldn’t keep up with it either. Of course that was usually in something like an ad but not normal everyday conversation.

Minimum 1.5x speed, up to 2x maybe. The pace is really strange and unnatural, it's "forced" to be slow.

It's not necessary to compare them like that. Agustina has her own strengths but Alma is a natural teacher. She was born to be a teacher. She makes you care about Spanish and what she is doing. She probably went to teacher's college. Agustina is worldly and knowledgeable about the subject matter she's teaching on, which is amazing. Andrea's background in film and arts helps her in the manner in which she presents her videos, and it is effective. Michelle Diaz's teaching is based on someone who appears to come from a middle class Mexico, which is also quite informative and educational, but if we're talking about that teacher who made you wake up motivated at 8:00 am when you were still in primary school and you were embarrassed and remorseful not to have done your homework is without doubt Alma.
