I have never seen fried chicken on a Caesar salad here in the USA. I do think it normally comes with croutons here . I do not like fried chicken so that would be a deal breaker for me but as far as the rest of that salad it was huge and looked good.

@ Caesar salads do not come with any protein on top unless requested by the diner. That must be the restaurant’s idea or maybe they do it in Spain. There are anchovies in the dress on a traditional Caesar.

Here in Dallas, a ceasar salad at la madeline french cafe is just romain lettuces, grated parmasan cheese and a few croutons. With a small glass of red wine i pay $21. Plus 20% tip on top. No second course and no dessert. Your menu del dia was definitely a bargain.

Although it's more common in the south, I think you can find it in Madrid too... they used to serve it whole to the customer, and there are various ways to serve it depending on the region. I recommend trying it someday everything is delicious, from the brains, eyes, tongue, although some customers might find it repulsive. Cheers!

Brits could be hit hard in the next few years as the government look to end the state pension for some. In the face of growing financial pressures across the UK, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced significant changes that could directly affect millions of state pension recipients. Following rising costs of living, debates have intensified around the sustainability of the state pension system, with discussions turning to introducing a means test for state pension payments. Currently, the state pension is a universal entitlement, with all individuals who meet the age and National Insurance criteria being eligible. However, there are now serious talks about means testing-an approach that could restrict payments based on income or assets. This could mean the end of the pension for those with a private pension.

That salad would have filled me up and never would’ve made it the second course, let alone the dessert. In the U.S. we call it salad dressing. Is it “sauce” in Australia?
