Wow!!!! I had tears after listening to this. What a beautiful piece of electronic music. At last, to watch someone use their fingertips to create such wonderful music made a long awaited change for me. Someone who did not simply twist buttons. You know, one of the best things of watching Klaus Schulze's Japan tracks was his endings and watching the man actually play. So to see a synth player use his fingers again made this so much better. I also loved the key changes made throughout the track, something (I feel anyway) that's missing big time in modern synth pieces. Also, this, thankfully, had some decent bridging- thought that was nice too. It's good to see someone play the keyboards for a change - and I will leave with a quote from an early Peter Baumann - 'We all know how a synth sounds - our job is to make them sound beautiful'. And after listening to this, I thought Detlef did.

Hello BigJimTang Thank you for your lovely words - they touched me. What Peter Baumann said should be the goal of every electronics musician ... best regards, Detlef

Dear Sir, I am very grateful for your response. I am 59 and have been into EM since I was 8 - 2001; a space odyssey started me off into odd music and I have not stopped listening to all the greats that have graced us with their types of music ever since. What I like about this piece is your restraint. I am a big big fan of your Faces 3 and 5 - especially 5. At last, a NOT joined up sequence, slow and almost adagio in its approach. All too often - In my opinion - new synth players are landlocked with Hoenig styled sequencers - fair enough - but unlike Mike - they lack anything to put with it so the sequencer just ticks over like a car idling. Face 5 kept moving and that made it more desirable. I often tell people taking up synth skills is when you look at TD and KS and Jarre or even Kitaro or Vangelis - not only watch how they play - but how LITTLE they play - how often their hands are away from the keyboards. Very few ever pick up on this technique and have the belief that they have to keep their hands eternally of the keyboard otherwise it will disappear. I also feel bridging and crescendos are lacking in more modern efforts. To me, there is nothing better in any type of music when once idea crashes or merges with another. So yes, it was lovely to watch you in action and I just get the feeling that Klaus Schulze likes nothing better to get rid of sequencers in concerts so he can be as one with the synths. There is nothing better than finger tipped synth - like a horse and rider - ideally suited. It's time to go back there.

Always loved your music Detlef, especially your solo work. As of 13 February 2022 there are now five 'Spaintronic' pieces, totalling about 80 minutes. Are there any plans for a CD or a Bandcamp official download? Best wishes from South Africa.
