I want to give you a big thanks for helping us! You have to keep in mind you are not only helping people, you also change lives literally. I take myself for example, in 5 days I’m leaving the Netherlands to go to South-America for 6 months. I never would have done this if I didnt start learning Spanish. I will be able to have conversations with the people and make my trip a Lot better. Without you and the other channel with the famous Ñ I problably would not have those plans and 100% not being Able to have conversations. And I’m sure there are more stories about the Spanish you teach is changing lives. Thank you!❤

Woah! This was such a treat to see appear on my sub feed! I enjoyed this so much :) Firstly, happy new year! One thing that popped to mind when you were talking about time was something I think about a lot: that at any moment in the present, I am simultaneously the oldest I've ever been and the youngest I'll ever be. It's a fun way to contextualise the present moment. I definitely think beauty is everywhere to be found, it's about subjective appreciation. A sunrise's beauty and worth, is it dependent on whether people take the time to appreciate it and notice it? Or is it just as it is, with those who appreciate it getting the opportunity to enrich their lives through it? It's so nice to hear you're becoming your authentic self thanks to this project. To me it's no great surprise, you're extremely genuine, funny and hardworking and it's a product of yourself that you are achieving what you are! I for one, think that's pretty beautiful :P Vamos 2025!

Martin, I really enjoyed listening to you talk about the concept of time. It's interesting to comprehend complex topics in a second language so I appreciate your thoughts. I don't have as much outside pressure to do things in a specific timeframe, however I always find that I place that pressure on myself for no specific reason other than feeling like I made the most of my time.

Can I listen to this on Pocket Casts, or Apple Podcasts? It would be perfect to listen to whilst walking my dog. Martin is the most comprehensible guide to me atm, I’ve got so used to his pace, and way of speaking! Really enjoyed this! 👏🏻

The philosophy segment made me think of one philosopher's work. Her name is Amia Srinivasan and she's also an Oxford professor. But she looks at societal views of beauty and how much that impacts how we actually think of beauty. For example, physical characteristics like light skin, slim body types and blonde hair are often coveted in a potential partner. On dating apps certain qualities are seen as more attractive. However, Srinivasan says that these preferences may be less real than we think. She argues that we are significantly bombarded with pictures of the "ideal person" from a young age and are conditioned to think this is what beauty is. But when some take time to reflect on what they truly find attractive, it often is different from the norm. As you said, it's not just physical either. We may find beauty in a person's words, attitudes and actions.

Your segment on time got me thinking that for the ideal human condition, it is advantageous to live mindfully in the present moment. When someone gets stuck in their past experiences, they generally are not growing in their lives. When someone gets stuck in thinking about the future, they are not living in the present and probably aren't as capable of enjoying each moment as someone who makes it a habit to live in the present.
