At 0:20 it says ".. but actually tubers, which are in the same family as potatoes". To clarify, tigernuts and potatoes are from two very different families. Tigernut is a sedge - closely related to grasses - while potatoes are in the nightshade family. 'Tuber' is just a term for a fleshy root, many species of plants from different families can develop tubers.

So happy for "valencian" people (where horchata borns) to see this video! We don't usually use cinnamon, but i'm sure it would be a good kick! Horchata is also usually eaten along with "fartons" :)

What are fartons

+Tunji Oyebade it's difficult to explain. They are long and narrow doughnut like texture... You dip them into the horchata

Thanks for making this video so Spanish (Spain) people will stop complaining that horchata is from Spain. =)

Horchata is great on a hot summer day and it's ice cold! Very refreshing!

Thanks for this - I have been trying to figure out how to make this recipe as the horchata we find in america is mainly made with rice flour.

potatoes are in Solanaceae and tiger nuts are in the Cyperaceae family. Two different families and not closely related at all.

Lo que vosotros tomáis no es horchata, lo llamáis horchata por nuestra horchata valenciana hombre, la de vosotros con arroz no es horchata, es caldo de arroz dulce lol
@kleinergrashupferАй бұрын
Hombre la horchata original de Valencia, vosotros llamáis esas aguas sucias de arroz de horchata justamente por influencia española, pero la original está hecha de chufas😅
