In this week's fishing report, it's all about snook and Spanish mackerel! ⚡Questions? Let me know!

Thanks for the info for our anglers. It should also be said that a snook permit is required
@WayneLandry-m9n3 ай бұрын
Unless you are a resident 65 or older, no permit needed.
@SebastianInletFishing3 ай бұрын
I’ll start mentioning that in future reports.

Requesting that you devote one video discussing the coming closures due to the construction of the new bridge and highway accesses.
@SebastianInletFishing3 ай бұрын
I plan to. Just waiting on some more info from FDOT.

Thanks for the report, keep up the valuable service. Spanish mackerel are 12 inch to the fork, no max size limit. The guy probably meant that you shouldn't keep any fish smaller than 14 or 15 inches.

If you were referring to me, snookman, no I never said anything about the sizes in my report other than they have a minimum of 12 inches.

I made the mistake. Sorry about that. I’m fixing it. 😀

I have read the new bridge construction and demolition will take over 2 years. What are expected closures?
@SebastianInletFishingАй бұрын
We don't know the timeline or details just yet, but we will in the very near future. The Inlet District wants to keep the inlet open as much as possible for boaters since it's for navigational purposes. As for cars, FDOT said there will be some closures from time to time.

Actually fishing is a God given right. We the people own the county, we pay taxes to employ the handful of employees that clean and maintain the area. Our taxes pay for all this, we own this property as state stake holders. Period. Don’t fall into the trap of misleading misinformation that the county owns said property, they don’t, they are employees charged with doing a job and have zero authority to make rules without consulting and consent from the public.

The Jetty is owned by the State and is primarily for boating navigation, not fishing. Anglers must adhere to the Jetty's rules, as the state has the authority to close it down.

The State of Florida is owned by the people of Florida in which that county/state park resides. For far to long the county, state, and a few others have taken a liberty that which it does not have without approval of the voters, the people. ATF is currently finding out that it can not make rules ect, US S court is currently gutting the ATF for over reaching its authority. The inlet water way is state and Federal to a point.

@@johnjarjoura9415 Taxpayers own the roads, but they're subject to rules, just like the jetty. Disregarding these rules can result in losing driving privileges, similar to losing fishing privileges at the jetty. The purpose of the Jetty is not for fishing. It’s for navigation purposes.

Who makes the rules ? Aren’t we supposed to have a say in the matter ? Or do we allow oversight and overreach by a handful of employees to make the decisions for us ? National security okay But a park, hell no

@@johnjarjoura9415 The Sebastian Inlet District makes the rules. They are voted in by the people.
