Yep! Their fun on light tackle! I'll fish for em some times at the St. Augustine Inlet when I'm coming back from a morning of tarpon fishing! Great video man!

It may have been that although you were in the dirty side of the water, the clean salt water being heavier was closer to the bottom and the dirty fresher lighter weight water was above it. You may have been still hooking up in clear water after all.

This... Exactly why you fish both sides of the line. You can't tell what the water is like 15ft down. #1 planer will be down under the fresh water pushing out/in

Great video, thanks for sharing! What size spinning reels were you using?

@@ReelHazardous TY! We troll for rockfish and around June we switch from soft baits to hard baits like the Gibson spoons you're using. But it would be fun to lighten up the tackle and troll with spinners. I am thinking of med heavy fast action 7' rods with 4k stradics trolling at about 4 to 6 knots with #1 planers and 00 spoons. Sound okay?

Do I need to use sinker with those lures?
@ReelHazardous5 жыл бұрын
You don't necessarily need them but I find it easier to troll and I think we do better when we have a 2 or 3 ounce trolling sinker or planar in front of the lures.
