My uncle played this when I was 17 for a short film he made for a college project starring me with my boyfriend. Very PG and beautifully romantic. He taught me this song. He was a wonderful classical guitar teacher who loved the music and the instrument. He's now unable tp play at all due to severe arthritis so hearing this song brought me to tears

You've pretty much got it.People think Romanza is a begginers piece, probably because most people can manage the first few bars but to play it properly and smoothy takes quite a lot of technique and that comes with time and practice.

Absolutely love this piece. My dad played it for my mum at their wedding, played it for my twin brother and I when we were still in our mum, then played it for my brother and I every night in our cribs for years. I've been searching for the name of it for so long and I'm so glad I've finally found it. I could never find it because it got mixed with another classical guitar piece in my head. Gonna ask my dad to play this again soon

I've been playing for almost 5 year, with a 8 months of formal training for guitar and 2 years of music theory. This song is probably one of the kinda difficult, but not so, pieces I can play.

The Romance sounds "easy to play" but when starting the second part in E, you should better have a well-trained left hand (strength, flexibility). The adequate speed is determined by the guitarist her/himself: it is the speed which avoids interruptions in the melody line.

Thank you for sharing your divine gift with all of us! You are like a gift that God has given to us to soothe our troubled souls.
