Thank you for the video and sharing. Is phrase "pega la gana" an idiom? I can find the words in the dictionary, but I cannot make sense how to connect each other meaning.

Great question! "Pegarle la gana" means to do whatever you want or whatever you feel like. "Los gatos hacen lo que les pega la gana" - means "Cats do whatever they want". You can also use the verb dar, it's probably more common. "Los gatos hacen lo que les da la gana."
