SpanishPod101 Review (Is This Language Program Good?). In this video, John from the TPI team reviews the language course from Spanish Pod 101. If you want to learn Spanish or become fluent in Spanish, SpanishPod 101 is a popular choice. John covers SpanishPod101 cost and what the lessons are like. He also covers what the SpanishPod101 free account includes. SpanishPod101 offers hundreds of "Pathways" or courses for beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners. Within each of these courses, SpanishPod101 offers audio lessons (aka podcasts) as well as video lessons. John is a big fan of the SpanishPod101 audio lessons. They are very engaging and do a good job of improving your listening comprehension skills. SpanishPod101 also offers grammar explanations as well as cultural insights. There's also a speech tool for speaking and pronunciation feedback and other practice drills for reading and writing. Overall, John rates the SpanishPod101 program very high. I will be starting a SpanishPod101 course very soon. I am in the process of geting my fiance and her daughter, they are in the Dominican Republic, up to Wisconsin soon and I have such a strong desire to learn my fiances language so I can always communicate with her to limit misunderstandings. Thankfully her daughter knows english so that will be a huge help. I lived it out for a week when I visited my fiance fore the first time at the end of September.

@@no0144 hello! This program has been awesome. It’s definitely a great way to learn Spanish in meaningful context. I also love that complete lessons are devoted to grammar instruction. The lessons do take 30 minutes or more to complete, but I often split them over a couple of days if I’m pressed for time. Hope this helps!

I'm learning Spanish because I'm 51 years old and I feel like I don't have anything to do for myself. I've raised and homeschooled 6 children and now that most of them are grown I don't feel like I have my own identity. I've always been mom, wife, or grandma, but I dont feel like I know myself as an individual so I want to learn something new and exciting.

I'm looking for something to continue learning after finishing a Pimsleur course. German in my case, but I'll be doing Spanish too. Would you say this is a good course to get from maybe a lower intermediate level to a good B2 or above level?

Yes, GermanPod and SpanishPod could be a nice option for that situation, although if you're trying to really get to B2 or higher, think about Rocket Languages as well. All else being equal, we prefer their course for advanced learning, but this could be a fine option

Pimsleur and Rocket are like the gold standard for language learning. I’m currently using Pimsleur for Persian and Rocket for Spanish. I really like both. I’m curious to to hear how John will compare them. I know if you use the Test Prep Insight coupon code, you will get the BEST deal available for Rocket Spanish. I think it is 60% off.

I still prefer Rocket and Pimsleur. There are some parallels with these programs, but Rocket and Pimsleur are def more comprehensive programs. Full comparison coming soon!
