I'm just barely learning simple Spanish. I looked up Este and esta, and I came up with "This" as a result. I found it interesting that adding an "R" to Esta , Estar = Be. And then I thought of Estar Bueno. Gracias for the video. Your great at teaching Rosa. I have a long way to go, which is fine.

@@Nameis9875 mmmmm in general, most of the words that end with o are male and the ones with a are female, like el caballo- male, la cosa-female, la fresa-female, el pato-male, and with the words that end with consonants well, you have to practice those because It can vary, but I can tell you that most of the words that end with ción/on are female: la satisfacción, la calefacción, la diferenciación, la combinación, la aclaración, la presentación, la reunión, la acción, but there are some like el camión, el panteón, el pantalón, which are male

Gracias por explicarnos las diferencias entre los verbos "Ser" y "Estar". Tambien por nos oferecer más palabras sinónimas en inglés. Ya sabía yo lo mejor de esta información, pero había unas palabras que ya son bien clarificadas. Me gusta oír los conceptos explicados por una hispanohablante. ¡Muchas gracias por todos estes vídeos! Una cosa más... la palabra "Gustar" talvez se explica mejor como "Please", porque "Me gusta" quiere decir "Me it pleases", no "Me it likes". Es algo que he visto vez tras vez que no me parecía claro.

Thanks for the video! :) I have a question about the difference between Tener (to have) and Haber (to have). I know that Tener is possessive, and Haber is an auxiliary verb...in that case, why is it said "TENGO que comer mas verduras" instead of with a form of Haber? I thought of "I HAVE" as an auxiliary verb in that case, supporting the verb "comer", and not possessive of anything. Just a bit confused on the usage of both. Thanks for any help in advance!
@alexisfisher1
@alexisfisher1 7 жыл бұрын
I'm not completely sure what you mean by auxiliary verb. But, in your example, "Tengo que comer mas verduras", you could not use haber. Tengo que in that case is being used as a sort of translation of "I need to" or "I ought to". For those constructs, tener or necesitar is used. Haber is used in scenarios more like, "I have done that before", or "I have seen you around". Does that make sense? I know you might not have the question anymore, but if anyone else reading does, I hope that helps.
@negack_1788
@negack_1788 6 жыл бұрын
It's because "TENER" is used more for things you usually do,have to do and had to do. For exanple: "Tengo que comer más verduras" (present) "Tendré que comer más verduras"(future) "Tuve que comer más verduras"(past) "HABER" is used as an auxiliary verb or it can indicates a quantity(like "there is or are").Examples: "Hay 3 animales en la granja There are 3 animals in tha farm(quantity, present)" "Él *HA* caído. "He *has* fell "("auxiliary form", present) Hope that help :)
