Regarding the Karana, they are a faction that was designed for vanilla but never implemented because there were issues creating new factions back then. Built originally by Ramachandra who quit empyrion around March 2020. Before he went he passed the bp's to Ravien for project Eden. Years later I had an idea and floated it to Hummel who went for it. So here we have the karana using their original lore as best we can. There are new ones in the pipelines but they will take a while. Matcz has been helping me out by building the frigates and the shrines. They also have a very unique moon you won't find anywhere else :)

Spanj I love ALL of your Empyrion Videos. I had Empyrion in My Steam for a quite a while and I just never understood it... your videos got me started. Now after logging close to 7K Hours (i Don't understand how???) your videos still show me things I have not seen for myself. The depth of this game is crazy, to explore thousands of planets in a ship that I can create block by block (or choose from a vast array of workshop items created by other awesome builders) is incredible! Bugs along the way... sure but still a fantastic Game. I am looking forward to Starfield I will play it on day 1(-5) I will give it a fair shake. I paid WAY more for it than I have paid for Empyrion, But if I were a betting man... Not only will I never put 7K hours into Starfield I will be back on Empyrion for many more hours. I truly hope to see many More of your Empyrion videos along the way, Thanks My Friend.

That happened to me! After 8 years of back trouble I got treatment finally, and started watching videos. I came across kage848 but at the time he never made a video past the pirates mission. So i did a search for beginners guides and found spanj. I think it was the first time he warped, he showed how big Empyrion really is and I was hooked. That was 2 years ago and I'm 4000 hours in. I swear every time he has a new series I see something that I have never seen before. I am more excited for the new RE update than I am for Starfield, I figure I will watch spanjs live streams and decide from there. I'm glad to see someone else feels the same way about Empyrion as I do, and in a way Empyrion taught me that it was possible to enjoy gaming again.

Great guide for new..and veteran Galactic Survivors..shows the vanilla game still has legs, and is the base from which the likes of Reforged build on for even more content. It's still got its bugs and glitches, but what game doesn't? Few if any 😎 Looking forward to whatever Eleon brings, and even more, to Spanj's coverage of it...Thanks guys 🙂👍

This has been a brilliant series, thank you Spanj, Empyrion is a permanent resident on my SSD, I am drawn back to it time an again, thanks in no small part to your fine videos. Looking forward to perhaps having a go at the new Reforged Eden features which you highlighted recently, when the patch drops for it.

Great series yep yet again I learnt something. Great to see the Farr and finding a barn 42 lol great seed you got 😏 . So many starts and the usual thing get settled and take on the Zirax didn't ever think of the smaller factions would add so much more play and new POIs to find..... And loot! Lol thanks Spanj.

Your Shields dropped because Eleon's default key binding is X (cause they hate us) and you never changed it for reasons i will never understand 🤪I put it on numpad / and power on/off from Y to numpad - cause if i am in fight and WASDing my way around how quick i accidently press X or Y

I was wondering if Farr had a Bank. I had a really good idea for a huge loot room but it would be extremely dangerous with all the spawns big turrets etc but the look would be amazing with all the epic weapons, millions of cash cards. Everything super amazing. But it would difficult to get through alive.

If anyone finds this, the systems outside of faction territories have plenty to do as well. The Colonists, Polaris, Pirates, and Warlord factions are usually around those systems. Warlords are always hostile, and while some of the ships and POIs are piss easy to destroy, the Tianlong and Hunter CVs are not (though be advised that the Tianlong in 1.9 Vanilla DID NOT have the rare loot crate on it that it has in Reforged Eden.) Still the Tianlong is a good challenge but you would probably want to cleanse the system of one of the other factions (I would say Pirates since they're hated by pretty much everyone as well as most of their ships and POIs are incredibly easy to destroy.)

But the question I wanted to answer by watching this series is: are there any discoverable PDA-based missions once you finish the introductory stuff and push out into the galaxy? Or is it just a vast expanse of invent your own reasons to keep hitting POIs and looking around? I have the same question about RE. So far I'm sort of stuck in a beginning to mid-game loop where I lose interest once I push out. And I never even get to creating maximum cpu-class vessels.

i love Empyrion, but the progression while playing need fixes, as early, your grind, you destroy your ennemies to get more powerful and go further but at some point ; You are almighty and then you should find interrest in other stuff, the lack of questline and Npc interraction force you to do the only thing that's available...fighting and it's getting blend after a while. i Really whishe you could have more impact with Factions and more interractions.

Hi all, anyone knows on the started planet AKUA, the Abandoned Base, when you press one of the switches and are standing on the white lines, are you supposed to die, or is it a bug? I stand on the white lines when pulling switches on other ocasions but it doesn't kill me.
