Bro im a composer but I cant write for percussion at all. I am not a drummer and the most advanced thing I know about percussion is perradidles and flams. How do you write them so well? I am aware that some of this was made by someone else. But still

Writing battery (drumline) music simply becomes easier with playing experience. You get to know the different techniques and ways we use our hands to play notes and move around the drum. I'm only good at battery writing because that's literally the only instrument I've been playing for the past few years, make me write winds and I would come up with something unplayable 😅.

@austinquads lol that's fair, for a while i only wrote for symth, piano and brass bc that was all i knew lol. I accidentally found out about Tremolos and realized that "OH you can make heavy metal on here" So I'm getting excited to include percussion in my compositions
