Can you please somehow explain why you recommend exact those gems on spark. I’m new to the game and don’t really understand, and EVERY guide on mobslytics has different gems on spark, and I’m just so confused. I found out for now that persistence + acceleration for example is good on spark, cause it helped to kill wolf on act 1 cruel, however arcane tempo + controlled distraction did not (but dps written is muuuch more) , and I have no idea at all why is that so…

Gonna give this build a try as the other 'Spark/Arc/Electrosorceress' leveling builds I've tried leave allot to be desired in their 'leveling' aspect. I'm sure they are all fine enough once you hit maps but man so far they've been painful during the leveling process.

I wish 'Uncut Support Gems' dropped with more frequency, let alone the Uncut Aura Gems or whatever they are called. Let alone re-spec'ing the passive tree costs. It makes it REALLY expensive to nigh impossible to change/try new builds on your first character.

Pretty good, but continually run out of mana. I have 10 sockets with mana regen and following the guide exactly but I run out of mana in 10+ casts and that's without using any of the supporting skills, just spark alone. Doesn't work for me at lvl 65.

Flamewall combined with Fortress and Spess Cascade is the best you can play. Stay inside of any of the 3 Flamewall circles and cast Spark. Easy more Damage in every directions.

In your guide at stage 2, you say to equip Blasphemy + Conductivity, how? I can only equip one as they are both Skill gems, Conductivity is not a Support Gem… thanks for such a great guide btw.

Great guide! Its my first time playing POE and just figured out along the way. Just finished act 3 using mostly Arc + Orb of Storms + Mana Tempest. Curious why Spark over Arc? The dps is 5x more on Arc and Im nuking mobs and bosses. Im wondering if i should change my build to try it out? Thanks!

I dont understand how you have three red support gems equipped when none of your gear adds strength. Did you take a strength on one of your attributes in the skill tree? What am i missing?

Everyone seems to love this 'chain an additional time' node, but logically spark doesn't chain. So it can't also chain an additional time, unless you somehow make it chain first.

I'm confused by that as well. Perhaps its just incorrect wording on the tool tips and it does chain in practice? Or WORSE peeps are just copying other peoples builds/ideas without knowing if it actually works in practice?

Any normal projectile that hits a target can chain. We've tested this and it works with spark. If you have pierce then the projectile will pierce on its first hit and then chain if it hits again. if you don't have pierce, then the projectile will chain to a nearby target instead of disappearing on first hit.

I'm not sure about the "Blasphemy" aura, the area of effect is quite small.

My guess without seeing anything is you have too many points into damage and items focusing on damage, and not enough on defense. On both my characters in maps, I have all but 1 resist at max, and the non max one is over 65%. Then you need a way to take damage and not get one shot. Life and ES are the 2 ways I have gone. @@georgelindenmuth578 When I had my frost build all my resistances were capped with over 2k energy sheild and I could do t4 but I just couldn't do breaches or rituals and stuff like that because my dmg wasnt fast enough (frostbolt is too slow moving) but I could 1 shot bosses. Now I switched to spark and my mana is 2k, shiled at 4.4k with resistances right around 50 =(Chaos at 40% since I didn't spec into that node yet). I don't think I should be struggling with t4 maps with the spark build this much

I'm going to switch to this build and try it out because the current archmage build im really struggling and I have the gloves and everlasting glow. 1 thing I noticed is by default all skills are set to both weapon slots and I had to switch them all to slot 1 then log out for the dps to increase. Im on console tho and maybe it's just some weird bug

What do you think about Acceleration instead of Pierce in spark? Did you try both?

In the vid he suggests replacing Pierce on Spark with Acceleration, unless of course you feel the Pierce is necessary. In other words he thinks it's not at a mid point, say Act 3-4 I'm guessing, of your build and adding switching to the Acceleration for faster little Sparks flying across the screen is a better choice. But he also didn't seem like it would be a HUGE difference either. Maybe more of a personal preference choice.

The passive tree is different in the beginning of the path in POE than on the guide.

Check out the different variants in the guide, at some point you should respec to the 3rd variant and it's described in the guide when to do that.

Shield is the most efficient way to add defense to this build, so use shield if you want to be more tanky and focus if you want more damage.

Can anyone confirm if branching bolts actually works with sparks? The tooltip suggests it gives ADDITIONAL chain chance % but as sparks does not have any chain % it's essentially 0 * 100% which is still 0? Or is the branching bolts only to be used by your orb of storms?

Before I got good gear I got rushed as well, but found Ice Wall to be a good compliment to this build during those times where you feel you are slightly underpowered.

I've hit a brick wall towards the end of Act 3. Damage has fallen off and survivability is at an all time low. I do not know what I'm doing wrong. When should I take off these leveling uniques? When should I start checking venders non-stop?

I was in that same situation yesterday. You can check vendors (of all acts) whenever you level and ditch Lifesprig as soon as you find a wand with same skills and more spell or lightning damage. Foxshade can be ditched pretty early to improve survivability. But overall this feels heavily gear-dependant and I couldn't reproduce what was advertised during the 30s and 40s with those cheap uniques and otherwise self-found gear. Died more during the normal campaign than on my monk during normal+cruel with less gear.

@@inderpalsahota8936 you might try hard-casting Conductivity, so no Blasphemy, that allows for support gems to get more than twice the effect and - by default - range. And you free up 60 spirit, which can be used for Grim Feast and either Arctic Armor or Clarity support.

It's insane the difficulty for leveling this class... I leveled 2 monks, 2 ascendancies, and it is far far easier. I'm at act 3 normal Utzaal, 3 lvl over required, and dying on every pack. just searched midnight braid with max price set at 2 exalted orbs, 278 results. as stated in the video guide, relative price doesn't seem to be working properly

All these levelling uniques are 1divs, i wouldnt call them levelling items and i wouldnt put everlasting gaze in the recommended items for levelling since it costs 4-5divines. Overall good guide but the items are just for those for whom currency is not a problem.

Not that i have problems with items anyway from playing thousands of hours playing in PoE 1 but there are many who are not used to hard and long campaigns. Actually levelling so far in act1 is much smoother with sorc than it was with warrior and that's without items ofc

Okay, obvious but not obvious tip. Don't run someone else's Archmage passive tree/guide, while trying to use this guide/gear/Skill Gems. Doesn't work, use the passive tree as indicated, then re-skill after you get towards the end of the campaign or into maps. It's not that much gold, and you likely don't have the gear anyway. Just verified the concept.....and yeah....not thinking clearly?!? Profound difference in clears.

I have one unique and one exalt and 6 regals out of 7 characters lvl 30-54, 54 is also not going to progress cause I cant get resists and attribes up to a point to survive. If you've actually listened or read the guide you'd realize that you can strat fresh with no currency and I explain exactly what stats to look for in vendors/loot/crafting. It's all a matter if experience and skill. Just take your time to learn.

Sorry caps was on and i didnt bother to re-type so it looks like Im angry but I'm not and my sorc is lvl 35 or whatever . I have 7 builds and none of them have had any luck to gain currency to progress so I'm frustrated at game. I feel that every character I start should be able to upgrade itself without the help of a "main" and that is not the case. There's a point when you cant upgrade and then just die due to no resists and cant use skills cause cant get the attribes when they are 100-200. etc....
