Spark From a Flyback (Freewheeling) Coil or Sparkplug

This is a super-short video, watch it a couple of times if you need to!
It shows the spark that you get when an inductive coil is charged with DC voltage and then the circuit is opened.
This spark was generated with some motor starting contactors, but the SAME spark, driven by electronic timing or by a distributor, is responsible for arcing across the sparkplug to run your car's engine.
It can be a bad thing for industrial equipment, but a good thing for a car engine.
