Man! Attention to detail is what it's all about. Tidy wiring sets it apart from the "also-ran" builds. Takes longer but the results are what matters. It's a work of art! I love Big Block Chevies!

Such a great idea with the wire standoffs to support the cables. I used some #4 solid copper I had laying around and it worked really well. A little heat to keep it from cracking apart and some spray paint when it's done, I'm really happy how it came out. Thanks for this video, it really helped me out.

Zip ties are under rated as they should be second to duct tape. 👍😂 That beast is going to look good in your 😉 rat rod. You have good taste Sir. Take care and until your next video, take care. 🍺🇺🇸🙏

Maybe but most vehicles have all those things hooked to the front of the engine and wires and hoses running everywhere to make the creature comforts work. Paint ain't gonna help that much. That's why the JYD is barebones. I think the engine bay should look as good or better than the rest of the ride.

Beautiful job on the spark plug wires Bob, they look great! I agree with you about the guys who go to all the trouble of building a nice looking engine and then install the plug wires 'willy nilly' all over the place. It doesn't look good. If you say anything to them about it they say they don't care, or will get offended and make up excuses to block the criticism of sloppy workmanship by saying things like: "It's just a rat rod"... I get tired of that excuse, really tired. I grew up in the era before rat rods. We built street rods to be total creations of beauty, and fine finish. The only shortcuts were ever taken due to budget constraints and there was NEVER a valid excuse for doing things 'Half - @$$'.

At work we use isopropyl alcohol for lubricating and cleaning electronic parts and terminals. It doesn't leave any residue or cause corrosion, it isn't corrosive, and it works for removing flux from soldered joints as well. Oh, it also removes Sharpie ink. We use the high-purity stuff at work, but at home I use the 91% from the store. I like those terminal crimpers, too, they ensure a good solid crimp. Nice setup!
