Is all this energy shield and EB/CI stuff completely dependent on being able to get that amulet? I recently started maps and feel like I'll get stuck on progression and have to start over before i can afford one of those. A decent one is like 6-10 divine and i havent even seen a single divine yet.

If you're doing EB & MOM, you need the Amulet. You can get a low row amulet for 1div. Or just go straight CI until you can buy a better one.

These guides are educational but largely theoretical for us without og PoE experience. Experience that would allow us not to stay on the wrong side of cost curves. @@zeramedai recommend looking up guides on the basics of path of exile, this video isn't a guide for the games mechanics, it's a build guide that you follow, it pretty much tells you what to do without overexplaining. Poe has a huge learning curve that won't fit into a general build guide like this. A seperate video maybe if he's up for it. It took me months to understand how to play this game and I still find stuff that helps me after years.

why scale crit over shock magnitude? isn't shock magnitude more dps? especially if you combo with lightning warp w/overcharge and using lightning conduit? you can potentially have up to 160%+ shock magnitude or more with better jewelry. also chaining node is over redundant when mana tempest does that for you if you just cast a few and step off of it.

@@Flixlim crit is always op if you have a lot of money and investment ... but for mortals 1 lightning rod enchant is 30% more damage so yeah do what you think it's best the neck enchant is cheaper though compared to all the crit investment.

one thing that i try is mana flask with 15% of the mana restore taken from life. even if it just 15% but you only have 1 life so it will instantly kill you.

It is not necessary, in fact there's a (pretty strong) argument to be made that the build is better without it. HOWEVER, the build is super expensive regardless of gaze at the top end. It is a very scalable build though, so you will need to be upgrading from 1ex/slot to 20ex/slot to 2-5div/slot over the course of progression. Then things like ingenuity, dream fragments and 3socket mahuxotls later on.

for early, aim ice build, frostball and cold snap. just grinding until 60, change to lightning if u have desired wand +4 lightning/all spells. it shouldnt be hard to get 50 ex to change into divine then buy the amulet. u cant do much dmg using lightning build early on.

The boots with the 50% rarity increase. It says its on low life. Which is lower than 35% of max life I believe. As we have 1 health. I dont know what the stat prio is but doesnt that mean the boots never trigger?

With CI you are always on low life, you can test it if get debuff 100 increase damage when on low life in lab

want a fun story about my stormweaver and about how i'm stupid? Switched to chaos innoculation 3 days ago, was doing some test with multiple change in talents, i was lacking dps but overall i was able to survive my 1st maps. Then switched to CI thinking my gear was good enough, 2k8 + 2k9MP but keep getting one shot randomly. Finding this suspect, wasn't having this pb before switching to CI and my resist was higher, more importantly it was after the nerf. Spending 500k to gear,~30 exalt, switching talents, trying to find alternative build with huge survivability by boosting my shield even more and lowering my already low dps. Still getting OS randomly. Then entering a map, doing some test using manatempest+sigil and BOOM OS without any mob??? My Mana pot has the afix 'draining life to mana' ...

I don't recommend the chain nodes since they mostly don't do anything for bosses afaik and I don't think this build needs more trash clear. The cast on shock sounds like it could be good. Also what about raw mana for distillation, just 12% more mana?

Why is your energy shield almost as high as your mana, i have 4k mana but my shield is only 2.5k?

For the new crit nodes (the double pyramid shape) in the Assassin tree, don't take the second part. They only do 'increased damage" when you deal a critical hit. I would use these to flush out the crit damage in the other crit nodes instead. Also the crit nodes at the start of the Caster tree do crit chance, and increased damage when dealing a crit hit. Taking the lightning penetration at the start of the tree might be better as well. Also there is a great crit cluster top left of the tree to the left of the ES/ ES stun threshold/ damage recoup as life wheel. It also increases your magnitude of shock. I would unallocate that whole part in the Assassin tree really, do that top left crit cluster, and you would free up some points from pathing to it for other things like the 60% reduced effect of curses on you right next to it (which also increases the ES of your focus by 100%).

What is ur spark level. Level, char level, passives. Cast speed and plus to all skill and lightning play a big part. When I switched to his build my spark was 7k, now it's 40k at level 86. 50k with the sigil down and 70k on mana tempest.

first off, thanks for the video, tons of information i will use once i am at the point where i can use it. idk, i finished the campaign, i cant clear my first map lvl 1 , cause my spark only does 2k dps, i have all the ES and manaregen and res i can get, i dont have exalted orbs, i looted 2 of them through my whole campaign. im more or less soloselffounded at this point and i dont know what would up my damage now. i refuse to go back to lower campaignmaps to hope for anything good. and all these spark guides are there showing of what to do with their 120 skillpoints and i have half of that now. took me a full week(as in 1 h per day) to get the gold to spec away from frost into fire after the nerf of CoF and now that im here i looked up builds for the firsttime and see the spark thing and would like to get that one going but yeah simply no explanation. buying stuff thats "only 1 exalt" is no option when getting one takes ages in campaign people continue to use this shit mobalytics page instead of using maxroll where u can save the passivetree at certain stages so you see how to progress every 5 points. yes i could do the math myself, i did that throughout the story, thats why i just finished the story. i love a challenge, did 25 seasons of hardcore in d3. im missing knowledge of poe in general and thats frustrating :D like what to aim for for lvl 20, 40, 60 , 70 , 80. most of the people dpoing guides have stuff with so much microstats that they cant even imagine what its like having no option to get a 3rd or 4th line on your gear.

Do you have the everlasting gaze amulet? You need that to convert mana to energy shield. Without it, if you have mind of matter, you won’t have any energy shield.

I swapped off Kitoko's a while ago, using them rarely, but rare gloves are much better. Due to the Max MAna, ES, and no atk speed penalty, you gain a good chunk of damage. My Spark tooltip w/out Kitoko's is 25% higher
