Do you by chance know what the temperature tolerance is for the fans? I'm looking for something that can handle engine bay temps. Please and thank you 🙏🏾

Sorry for the delay in responding! Though the materials we use are rated for higher temperatures, we do not recommend under-hood mounting.

Still confused what those 4 barrier strip inputs are used for. Could you give me an example?

Thanks for the question. They are simply positive input triggers that will activate a given channel when energized. They serve the same function as the 4-pin switch inputs. Please let us know if you still need further clarification. Thanks, again!

Hi Ed, I would like to know how many of the RBX 4channel units i would need for, 6 amplifiers, 2 audio control devices, 8 fans, and 11 leds strips? Thank you.

Hi, Julio. We'd need to know the draw of the fans and the LED strips first. Most amplifier remote turn-ons draw between 300 ~ 800mA, so you could run about 20 amplifiers off of one channel of the relay box. I would imagine your audio control devices draw about the same as the amplifiers. The RBX-4CH can handle 15A per channel, so the key would be the draw of your fans and LEDs.

Leds are 0.07a, that is 0.77a for 11 led strips and the fans are .37a, which is 2.96a for 8.

@@juliom1740 Based on the above numbers (6x amplifier remote wires and 2x audio control device remote wires + 11x 0.07A LED strips and 8x 0.37A fans), you can technically run everything off of one channel. If you wanted to break it up, you could run six amps and two audio control devices off one channel and both LED strips and fans off of another channel (or any other combination).

Can the fannie be hooked up to a simple rocker switch ?

Hi, Bruno! As long as the rocker switch is rated for at least 3A, then it should be fine to run a Fannie off of it since Fannie draws around 2.4A @ 14.4VDC.

@@brunom1280 We always recommend running a fuse to any of our products that require 12VDC. A 3Aor 5A fuse should be fine for one Fannie.

It's a handy little gadget that helps with those smaller-sized accessories. Remember the days when we'd hook a little 22AWG wire to the 0AWG terminal for power along with an inline fuse dangling in the air? :)
