Honestly, I wonder if the English team simply wasn't given the proper context from Hoyoverse or not. Just about everyone had interpreted Sparkle's "find a mute" quote as a joke in poor taste, and it seems like the English team interpreted it the same way. Just makes you wonder if no one told them that that particular phrasing was important and not a joke.

At this point in Story,. I always thought that if, Only If, Aventurine join the Masked Fools rather than IPC, Perhaps Sparkle will be His first "Friends", What Sparkle always needed is "Friends", That's why She's observing Aventurine with maby faces as close as Possible

@@eliasabbas8450 Sparkle was only impersonating that little girl at the end whereas all the other guys I recognize had Clockwork icons where they had missing pieces to their souls until Stelle filled them in. One of those was a victim to corporate theft, the old guy was not happy with movie adaptations or something. The girl as far as I remember was a singer whom Stelle encouraged to sing the song of her people for others to hear which was not accepted well.

I just finished 2.1 a few days ago (Unfortunately had to rush a little and couldnt ponder the details in order to finish the event before expiring) and Im just going over everything again. It is crazy the amount of things you can miss. Im planning to go over all the subtleties so that im fully up to speed when playing through the 2.2 story. Enjoy the new update my friend.

Came here to clarify. In Chinese version (the original script) sparkle explicitly mentioned Robin’s name as the first mute that’s dead. Also second mute is a “she” in Chinese script. So it’s actually Robin and firefly. Translators messed it up big time here
