Jennifer, this is great! I really enjoyed your lesson. In the quiz, I missed only 2. "well-recieved" and "embarassed". It's an oversight. I didn't check the letters very well. Anyway, I have learned there that every letter of every word should be read carefully when proofreading a text. I took this lesson around 5pm Nigerian time. I observed that this topic had been uploaded 1 month ago. Thank you.

If I'm being completely honest, I was under the impression that proofreading is only about spelling. Now, however, I know the real definition of this. I think proofreading is critical in fiction as well as nonefiction. Indeed, I would really like to see more videos regarding it on your stunning channel. Thank you so much for being here! Best regards from Ukraine. Much obliged, Jennifer.

I missed 3 out of the 7 mistakes you noted, so I'm slowly making progress! I was curious if well-received needs the hyphen every time it's used? I appreciate your fine teaching, Jennifer.

That's a very helpful lesson. Thank you! I have one question. Do we always use hyphen in compound adjectives such as well-received? I've seen somewhere a rule that hyphen shouldn't be used in adjectives if they go after nouns. "Those lines were well received." (from The New York Times)

Proofreading? I've come to the conclusion that nobody under the age of twenty-five understands that concept.

My "favorite" is: Your welcome. Excuse me. "My welcome?"

Hello 👋 i have doubt on the sentence that you used in your video. I ate the hot dog while sitting on the bench. Here i think the word while is working as conjunction or more likely a preposition. If we don't use this word " while " The sentence could be: Sitting in the bench, i ate the hotdog. Now we have a present participle phrase which is modifying. i . Correct me if i am wrong

You are correct! We could also say "Sitting on the bench, I ate the hot dog." :)

I'm a bit confused. Should it be "Tim's alarm clock didn't ring on the morning, or in the morning."?
