I’m really enjoying your return to Minecraft videos because I also stopped playing over a decade ago and it’s cool to see the new stuff via someone else’s experience. You have a much more chill vibe than a lot of other KZbinrs, and you have an appreciation for taking things slow and discovering, just like we all did when the game first came out. Also, having your audio engineer wife come on to listen to the sounds and music was lovely! I’d absolutely watch a series where you guys do a survival world together while you’re still rusty and she’s brand new. It’d be a riot to watch.

8:05 Yeah, C418, the person behind the music _and_ SFX, actually used his own voice to make a lot of the mob sounds, and some of them were actually spur-of-the-moment, like the zombie sounds, He said in an interview that he was sick and his voice was shot, so he took that opportunity to record some zombie sounds, and they are still used in the game to this day. The villager sounds are a bit of a different story, he had made unique sounds for the baby villagers, but they were passed over in favor of using a pitched up version of the normal villager's nasally hrrrr sound, like all other mobs with baby variants, including zombies. The ghast sound was inspired by the sounds his cat makes when waking up, which is kind of cute cause it produces a mental image of an actual cat making ghast sounds when waking up.
