Had the pleasure of seeing JD before Ian's passing. Hooky was my inspiration to play Bass and I'm still playing 43 later. Great cover hope you do some more take care

This is amazing man, on of my faviorate songs. I like how you were able to make the guitar sound similar to what Bernard Sumners Shergold Hooky guitar with a mix if Martin Hanetts producer skills that he used for the song. Greetings from Ukraine

While doing arpeggio thing on Jazzmaster, i should put my pinky on the pickup? Now i found out the way! Thank you for uploading this video! I should give it a shot!
@SparkyGuitar Жыл бұрын
Ha! I've realised over the last couple of years that I have a really strange way of holding the pick....and also like to anchor my hand on the guitar. It's great for some things...but I think it really slows me down for other things. It's also why I use quite thick picks - because the pick is quite loose in the fingers. Not what you'd see in the text books... but it's who I am and how I play. We're all different! Glad you liked the video!

Hey man, great cover... what effects are you using?
@mmudigonda3 жыл бұрын
Your tone is amazing! Can I ask how you achieved it effects wise? Definitely chorus and reverb in there, but I was wondering what you used for the overdrive?
@Joormode3 жыл бұрын
flanger + OD maybe ?
@dylano01262 жыл бұрын
I'd go for a Roland Jazz-Chorus amp, paired with any flanger and overdrive (ideally I would go with boss pedals, but thats personal preference). Toy with the settings, maybe add an EQ pedal too to hit the tone dead on. But the basis for the sound as mentioned above is flanger and overdrive.
