Honestly, this has to be the coolest looking place to train. Don’t know that I’ve ever seen a better looking dojo.

@instructorlex8273 Thank you, sir! I'll share that with Chip. He's done the design and most of the building himself. I agree. If you're ever in the Boston area, please come visit!

yes, it's very pretty and completely worthless. unless you are a "authentic" karate instructor who knows nothing else and doesn't know anything. lol then i guess it pays the bills, aren't McDojos great?

@FuKuntt Seruous question: do you believe there isn't any value to aesthetics?
@FuKuntt2 ай бұрын
@@andrewobrienkarate practice Kumite (prearranged sparring) as hard and fast and strong as possible and believe it or not it's more than enough. studying a system such as Uechi-ryu means defending using Uechi-ryu. during Kumite one attacks and defends using strict Uechi form and technique. Which is something you seem completely and utterly incapable of understanding... keep hopping around with your foam pads and you'll never become good. you don't respect or fear their strikes and have absolutely no self control. my generation trained as HARD AND STRONG and as safely as possible and it showed. you are a caricature of a martial artist.

Do you guys do like shotokan footwork drills with punches too?
@andrewobrienkarate2 ай бұрын
@hotpopcorncake I think I know what you mean. Sometimes. Depending on what sensei feels like, we'll drill long-range punching like WKF sparring or continuous style striking with hooks and uppercuts like kickboxing.

@@andrewobrienkarate Yes, I see alittle of that Machida/WKF footwork. But it looks different. But it's more aggressive with the sweeps and punches but more elusive.
