Birds of prey are hard enough to catch, let alone when they are stuck in a very high warehouse!
Simon and Sean spent a couple of hours chasing a sparrowhawk, trying to corner it, so Sean, who was waiting in a very precarious position, could capture it.
Watch until the end for the blooper!

Sparrowhawks have a really intense glare about them, like they're just daring you to intrude on their personal space.

Your sparrowhawk reminds me of the North American sharpshin hawk, another accipiter. Good advice to mind the feet, I have yet to meet an accipiter not capable of wreaking rapid havoc with those lightening fast talons (very talon-ted). Good work catching him, he had all the advantages and you had naught but determination and a net!

Not sure if applicable to this case, but perhaps you should look into a laser... Near here some farmers use very strong laser lights to scare off animals, perhaps you can use those for some cases.

i went to a park they are real sad you can feel it when the orca screams. Dolphins had rake marks and they look so sensitive :'''( one was staring at me but i did not understand why he or she looked frail... Fortunately the dolphin project and peta are helping a lot those days. I feel guilty now i know the truth to have stepped into it.they are angels of the sea. thanks for your answer and the link. it is very kind of you :)

From afar, it looks like a female sparrowhawk, but also one of the natives to northern- and middle-europe, even though at first I thought it would be one of the sparrowhawks natives to the baltic countries down to greece. But this one looks pretty fine, even though a little ruffled from the fight she gave to you. I think it will have a nice fat pidgeon on it's prey-list, after what happened.
