In ancient Sparta, young boys were taken from their families and thrust into brutal training, designed to mold them into hardened warriors. Their lives were dedicated to mastering the art of war, which lead to the legendary battle of Thermopylae, where 300 Spartans made their heroic last stand against a massive Persian army. However, as time passed, Sparta's rigid society, unable to adapt to changing times, crumbled from within, leading to their ultimate defeat by Thebes at the Battle of Leuctra, marking the fall of a once-invincible city. ⚔☄💀 As always, if you have any suggestions for future videos, drop them below! Some of you have come up with places I never even thought of, so keep them coming. Thanks everybody, and have a great weekend!🌿

Sadly, few remember the 700 warriors from Thespiae who guarded the back entrance but were also wiped out. They had the back of the Spartans and deserve the same honor.

Although the story behind sparta is a very sad one, the music you created changes it to a good ending. For all they suffered under the greedy and heartless. I'm up for the win! Run and fight! Always in mind that i end it without any blood. Only with justice. Whoa, i'm in the mood 😂 Jokes aside (not really), this piece is beautiful. From the woman's voice. To the violin. To this massiv 'beats' in between. I could even hear a little bit celtic and oriental influences in it, which i really liked. Truly, i fell in love with it. Thank you ❤❤❤

Sparta and their spartan wariors! One of the most interesting and important battle of Our Ancient History... Democracy started in Greece... If the 300 Spartans wariors and their battle in "The gates of Hell" were not to happen maybe, just maybe the future of ALL EUROPE as we know it now, it would probably, very probably be very different with the Otoman Empire all over Ancient Europe... Make us think a little bit, right? I am the first one to say "There's no IF in History. It has happen. Finish." But when we think about the odds that what it could happen if the 300 spartan wariors were not fighting during the 3/4 days in the Thermopylae Battle, what we could expected? No one knows... That's why History it's a very important subject for me and I try to learn the most of it, to understand the Present and try to make a better Future! Also I pass my values to my kids... they only understand what is happening NOW - the Present - if they learn and understand the Past, the History! From Porto, Portugal.

I haven't seen if you've made any of this yet, but what about some ancient Americas inspiration? Olmecs, Maya, Inca, Pueblo, etc.

Question about suggestions: Do you want to take unique homebrew settings and factions as inspiration, if we give you descriptions? Or do you do known fantasy stories and places, too? Or do you currently want to stick to real life inspirations?
@FantasyMeditations2 ай бұрын
Great question! At the moment we have been sticking to real life inspirations -- But I'm pretty excited to announce that we'll be moving into doing both fantasy and fictional places as well. We've had a couple of questions about homebrew settings, and yes -- We're going to be taking homebrew suggestions as well. So if you do have a homebrew suggestion, either drop a comment, or send us an email with the setting description. We'd prefer to do settings and locations -- But factions could be fun too. In the next few weeks I'll write up some proper instructions for those who are interested -- But long story short -- Yes! Thank you for all the support and for watching! 🌿⚔

@@FantasyMeditations Sweet, thanks for the answer. If "Starless Sky" sounds promising and inspiring to you guys, Ill be sure to write a small primer for you or wait until your email instructions. Im using your tracks anyways for it, might as well (for example, the recent viking one fits my dwarves) :P Other than that, Im really looking forward to your next pieces! I dont know what it is, but I take this opportunity to let you know that I really cried during some pieces - and that is rare for me!! And my players love it too, in dnd and pf2e.

@@monkeibusiness Sounds interesting! I'll be putting instructions out in the next few weeks. Can't wait to hear what some of you guys come up with. Starless Sky already sounds fascinating! And thank you for the kind words, it means a lot to know that the music has had an emotional effect on you guys. This probably one of the most motivating comments I've received. Thank you, Matthias! 🌿⚔
