Just got the same knife from DLT. My wife made me a lanyard out of OD paracord & a Brass Spartan shield Bead that says "Come & take" in Greek. Spartan Blades is a great Co. started & run by 2 Green Beret Veterans. They are gonna make me a custom MARINE knife with Eagle Globe & Anchor & USMC deeply engraved black in Gold anodized Ti with black hdw. & 3.25 black blade .... AWESOME knives! Customer Service with Kim is second to none!

I have the 2022 full-size Koi model. And yep, one of the first things I did was reprofile that edge, sharpening all that unsharpened heel, and cutting in a nice deep choil. Looks great now, and with a 17° angle, she slices!

As an AF vet the A10 is my favorite bird of war. I was lucky enough to be stationed at a base with these suckers. I have been going back and forth about getting this one for sometime… and green being my favorite color it compounds it more. Love your attitude and fantastic review. U got a new sub

What an excellent review! I really like how you explain the steel and how it feels. Sounds like you get a great heat treat from this company. I have a Pallas and this makes me want to give it a little more pocket time to check it out. Only S35VN though.

I really really really like the spartan. You are so fortunate in the USA with all the knives that are available! I am so so jealous. In the Netherlands I can choose between 2 Spartans. They are the same. Can choose a droppoint or a wharncliff blade and boring black or Grey.

Anita Veldman What are you talking about? I think you confuse something because there are no wharncliff Spartan Blades. And in the Netherlands you have Knives and Tools who sell various Spartan Blades. Availability is another topic but if you can wait a bit you could buy the knives …

I had the full size 4in Waving flag in black.... It was a Beast...weighed as much as 2x the 3.25!

@@donwendling7800 that’s the one I have. I don’t mind the weight, but the length seems odd feeling after years of carrying XM-18s. I would just write it off, but Erica’s review on it just makes me want to give it more of a fair shake. We’ll see

You can sharpen it on wet stones I got a full sized spartan and it sharpens just fine on wetstones

Awesome video as always Erica! I have been absolutely impressed with my SHF. So much so I ended up buying another one. I wish more people would try a Spartan Harsey Folder & experience what makes it so special. I have had a great experience with the S45vn. I have been able to keep it hair popping sharp with some Gunny Juice Stropping emulsion. 6mg ,3mg, .5mg & .25mg their engravings are top notch and so damn beautiful! I got a Fir Tree engraving and I love it!

I wish they offered more graphics options on these smaller Harseys. I really enjoy the 4 special editions that they put out each year on the larger models.

Just received this same knife. Not a good impression out of the box. Exceptional blade play. Easy fix. Tighten pivot. Then fix the centering. Lock stick. No problem it will go away no doubt seeing as it’s not that bad. Filler tab does not sit flush due to the holes not being chamfered. Not a huge deal and remedied easily with a slight countersink. However, this should not happen on something this expensive. I was aware of the filler tab issue prior to purchasing from a few videos. Chamfering holes is pretty much machining 101 however. On the positive side it feels great and the action is very nice. Hardware seems of very high quality as well. It also came dull by my, and probably anyone watching this channels, standards. IMO Spartan needs to step it up QC wise if they want CRK prices. That being said I have a sample size of one but some of these issues seem prevalent. That being said I do not regret purchasing it and I am sure it will be gtg from now on. The size if about perfect for EDC for me as well. Ty for your insights. This video and the S45, which I really like, where two of the main reasons for the purchase.

but the knive have no steel insert or ceramic ball on the Titanium Framelock`?? so it gona last not so long, becouse the titanium rubbs on the blade and gets smaler??? so its not long lasting???

Love my Full size SHF!! Everything about it says it shouldn't cut well!! But it does...The only thing that will make it better is a Hollow grind regrind that l will get done eventually. 👊🏼

I like to use my Spartan SHF to cut my Cheetos 😂 I have the full-size Spartan Babe graphics in S45VN, and a pair of the 3.25" SHF with the Chad Nichols Damascus, and one of the 3.25" is a frequent EDC for me. That also seems to be good steel. Even before breaking it in it will flick open nicely, just doesn't drop shut right out of the box kzbin.infocQDOpY4mPss
