Thanks! I agree that there are hardly any vids that talk about escaping N/S.

AMAZING! i agree with him, there aren't enough videos on how to escape north south, which is annoying for people like me who mostly learn online. THANKS!

@scottyiscute I've never heard that AC causes accidents ever. My current gym is not AC but we clean and wash it every single day so there is zero smell. The number one problem at gyms is the lack of cleanliness not AC.

Hey Ari, just wanna ask is your gym air conditioned? I went to check out this BJJ gym nearby and they said they didn't have air conditioning cause that's when accidents can happen. Is it true? Because it smells terrible in there with all the sweat and my prev gym was ACed. Would you agree air conditioning causes accidents and is your gym air conditioned?

why do people keep naming themselves after this movie? James "300" Foster. Denny "300" Prokopos. I know the movie was good but I mean really?

Thanks for a great easy video with a simple easy explanation. I was wondering, if you're flexible enough can you try and flip over and take their back from the bottom or will your head get caught? Thanks for the answer and keep up the great work!

hey I do judo and north south with hands on the belt trapping the arms between the elbows and the knees is much more common due to the rules favouring holding position, is there any variation of this escape which works from there or can the principles of this escape be applied to the example I just gave?

Thank you for posting this. I can never get the "role backwards" escape. This is a great alternative. Also, I like the extra angle shot in the top left corner. Very High Speed.

that will only work if the guy on top doesnt know what his doing and to start with his in the wrong position to do a north south choke i am yet to see a good escape

@scottyiscute i dont think any gym should be ACed. just imagine if you guys are rolling and all sweaty and the AC is blasting cold air at your bodies, y'all will get sick

This is a great technique and video, but the guy talking just bores me so much! Goes into far to much detail, keep it simple and it would be an ideal vid!

If I remember correctly..Ari, weren't you going to make a separate account and have some striking tutorials? This could have been a long time ago.

Thank you for the great instruction. Can you please make another similar video only with your arm/elbows in his underarms? Thank you.

Can you suggest an escape for when the top player doesn't try and get double unders, and just blocks both hips to stop circling with the hips lowered and smashing the face to one side? I really struggle to escape from there :)

check out Kurt Osianders one where you get behind their armpits and push them up and over your legs and end up flipping them. I tried it on some higher belts and it worked cause they didnt think the lower belt knew that trick. Im eager to try this one as well for variety as the higher belts quickly learn our limited escapes.

With all due respect - I have integrated a few of your ideas - why would you go back into the guard when you could have clearly escaped completely???
@poolkrooni9 жыл бұрын
straightblast1 Closed guard is often a strong part of your game and many people love playing it for aggressive attacks.
