I like to say the Konigsberg has wet cardboard for armor, which beats the Omaha's wet tissue paper armor. Probably my favorite Tier 4 Cruiser. The German 5.9" guns are nasty, and the 360 turrets are sweet.`

All light cruisers have same paper armour, except Cleveland and ochachov. Error 404 non found

This is pretty much the King of Mudhole stomping for me. This has to be one of the most devastating ships at its tier.....pound for pound one of the best!

Used Riegerwald 16L3 recently with a Konigsberg and I citaled an Ishi. Pleasant surprise lol. Great ship, it's my go to seal clubbing boat.

Having gotten used to the firing angles of the Königsberg, the Nürnberg was quite disappointing in comparison.

I was looking forward to the Nurnberg but I've seen several comments like yours. Sad. How about the German T6 cruiser?

@@BotanyJess the york is horrid, it’s turret turning is worse than the pensacola and the armor is just as bad as the previous teir, a battleship looking in your direction will get you killed

@@BotanyJess if you like destroying cruisers and having good ap go to the american cruisers but if you just want to burn people to death go to the british or russian cruisers

Hey Spartan, when showing the armor, you can also scroll thru the "armor thickness" tabs to show more armor than just the "armor groups" tabs. It shows that he citadel for this ship is protected by 17-24 mm on the side but is also protected by 34-75 mm from the bow and it gives this nifty comment saying "... resist HE shells of up to 203 mm".

Just here to shoutout the Strasbourg that I played with two nights ago. His name was something’s Wrath6 and we took a whole side (I was in the Arizona) against 4 ships and a carrier. If you see this, you’re one hell of a player.

One of the best ships in the line. K-berg is pretty much a go-to T4 cruiser. Good for citadel challenges where you might want to win (an alien concept to many). Armor is weird, capable of deflecting a surprising amount of incoming, but, like all cruisers, not something to be relied upon. Only real downsides are clumsy handling and the lackluster HE damage output. Outstanding in the anti-cruiser role and very capable of running down DDs and settling their hash.

History: Königsberg was a German light cruiser that was operated between 1929 and April 1940, including service in World War II. She was the lead vessel of her class and was operated by two German navies, the Reichsmarine and the Kriegsmarine. She had two sister ships, Karlsruhe and Köln. Königsberg was built by the Kriegsmarinewerft in Wilhelmshaven; she was laid down in April 1926, launched in March 1927, and commissioned into the Reichsmarine in April 1929. She was armed with a main battery of nine 15 cm SK C/25 guns in three triple turrets and had a top speed of 32 knots (59 km/h; 37 mph). Königsberg served as a training ship for naval cadets throughout the 1930s, and joined the non-intervention patrols during the Spanish Civil War in the late 1930s. After the outbreak of World War II in September 1939, she laid defensive minefields in the North Sea and then participated in Operation Weserübung, the invasion of Norway in April 1940. While attacking Bergen, she was badly damaged by Norwegian coastal artillery, and sunk by Fleet Air Arm Blackburn Skua fighter-bombers the following day in the harbor. The wreck was eventually raised in 1942 and broken up for scrap the following year. The Königsberg class, sometimes referred to as the K class, was a class of light cruisers of the German Reichsmarine and Kriegsmarine. The class comprised three ships named after German cities: Königsberg, Karlsruhe, and Köln, all built between 1926 and 1930. These ships were the first of the Reichsmarine with a modern cruiser design; their predecessor, Emden, was based on World War I-era designs. They were armed with a main battery of nine 15 cm (5.9 in) guns and with twelve 50 cm (20 in) torpedo tubes. All three ships of the class were used extensively as training cruisers throughout the 1930s. They went on numerous overseas cruises and participated in the non-intervention patrols during the Spanish Civil War in 1936-1939. After the outbreak of World War II in September 1939, the three ships laid defensive minefields in the North Sea. They all saw action in Operation Weserübung, the invasion of Norway, in April 1940; Königsberg was damaged by Norwegian coastal guns outside Bergen and sunk by British bombers the following day. Karlsruhe was sunk by the British submarine HMS Truant; only Köln survived the attack on Norway. After returning to Germany, Köln operated Flettner Fl 282 helicopters as an experiment. She provided gunfire support to German ground forces during Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941, and returned to Norway in 1942. Ultimately, she was sunk in Wilhelmshaven in March 1945 by American bombers. Her guns were still above water, which allowed her to support the defending German army against British ground forces until the final days of the war. Thank you Spartan for always giving me a smile!

Weird thing about the Konigsberg is that she has better firing angles to starboard then to port (cause of the offset)...

Hey Spartan, I wanted to ask your reasoning picking Fully Packed over Fixated? I feel that fully packed is better at higher tiers or with extra consumables. Lower tiers ships with only two consumables I will use fixated.
