Yes, these situational videos and instructional commentary is definitely very, very helpful! And the quick explanation of ship set ups and commander set ups is also very helpful. Don’t undervalue yourself Spartan. There is no greatest player out there, but you yourself are an exceptional player. Hey spartan! First, I want to thank you for adding me to your fleet. I’ve only been playing this game for about a month and each day I’m getting better and better (wishing my teams were good each game but that’s wishful thinking). I’ve been watching your videos along with Peeks and a Aron’s to learn and it’s been paying off. My stats reflect my gameplay but today I’ve had mostly piles of sh*t for teams today and I have now fallen below 50%. I don’t give up and I do my best each game. If you want to drop me from the fleet I understand. I just got the Kansas and I do like it a lot as it fits my play style.

I enjoy both types of videos . There is a KZbinr (FailRace) who will release the entertainment video, then a few days later release the one where he talkes about what is going on in his head and the heads of the people he plays with. I tend to watch both hour long videos.

When I want to be sneaky, I play German BB's, especially lately trying to practice getting ready for the Johan. When German BB's get frustrating, I play US BB's and take out my anger on the red's lol Your vids are a great help, even for more experienced Captains such as myself. I have the blue founders flag, but only play a handful of battles a day. It's nice to load up one of your videos and see what I can improve on in a specific ship

Love these more specialist videos. It took me literally years to get great results in the iowa , I just couldn't make it perform like spartan. He made impossible look everyday showcasing how great he is in the game. My only build difference is I put Fisher in instead of De revel. Give him a try!

@TinyTiresRC That's what I do after figuring out I would always be disappointed looking for accuracy from them lol. It is fun just rushing in and getting close as possible but it feels like I'm not contributing much to the team when I get 50,000 dmg on a good game and get sunk lol

I think your right, I like the American lines best. Especially with the new Azure Lane commanders, they out perform the rest in my opinion. There are some exceptions, like Hyuga, Julio Cesare or Altantico

I think my Kansas has a RNG gremlin. Same build as, just now where near as accurate. And the commander is maxed out. O well. But how about some North Caroilina action. Let "The Showboat" shine!

Forgive me for going off topic, but I would love your opinion. I have 80 ships including most of the American heavy cruisers and the great, Kansas. My question, Spartan, is how come I can play 20 matches, of various nations and classes, yet 95% of them my teams are being wiped out, by half way in. 90 shell hits from a De Moines, and they enemy barly get scratched paint. One salvo from a zato bow in, and I'm down 70% hit points. WTF, this is not isolated it's nearly every day. To the point that I'm on the verge of canning the game. Its just not like it used to be. Your thoughts?

Unfortunately that's how it goes.. we can't control our teams just do the best we can. Most games end in about 8 minutes with one team dominating the other

Kansas seems better than Minnesota from watching you play both ships. I have West Virginia with a similar build to the build you used in this match. I wish I had recorded one of my matches yesterday. I literally Dev Struck a Mass thirty seconds into the game because he decided to go into a gap and ate a Smimanto torpedo. I ended up with three kills that match and finished second on my team in the win.

Have you ever tried a, let's say, 'fireproof' commander build? I was looking at John Fischer, using 'Not One For The Nuisance' and 'Firefighter.' With Beaply as an inspiration, that would be a theoretical negative 34% fire chance. Theoretical, because I assume there is a minimum fire chance in the game. Alternatively, canceling out 'Flammable Cannonier' with 'Firefighter,' Beaply would still give you negative 8% fire chance, halving the firestarting of a lot of HE spammers.

Accuracy build? I thought you’d switched to a reload build because “no one expects an Iowa to reload in 24 seconds”, you back to using only accuracy or does it depend on the ship?

Idk why destroyers always feel the need to have to torpedo other destroyers. When i an in a DD and meet up with another DD, my torpedoes are the last thing on my mind. I go straight to the guns no matter how slow my reload my be.

Yessir! This is the way. I fire a few salvos then torp (if I'm broadside) to give the other captain more balls in the air to juggle in the moment. Generally, they don't shoot back (or at least very accurately) if they're too busy dodging fish.

My own data shows the Kansas and Minnesota to be be very close in performance...though the Kansas rates higher for me in citadel contact. My only complaint is that the Minnesota should be a bit faster than it is but to compensate I never ever use a module that will slow it down either. This following is where I disagree with Spartan just for a little bit... As for engaging DD's initially at some distance I prefer HE because there is that chance of either damaging or destroying torpedo tubes, damage or remove the torpedos of a DD and you effect how that DD will be utilized. If i'm very close to a DD then yes, I'll switch to AP but HE cannot be over-stated...it's a classic torpedo remover. In addition there's that opportunity in which you damage their engine and torpedos tubes simultaneously...This is not an uncommon affair out there. HE can do that quite well. I have this same policy with cruisers that have torpedos; at range, hitting a cruiser with HE can limit over-pens BUT most importantly, it can remove torpedo tubes while starting a fire or two. Damage/Destroy those torp-tubes and you change how that player will go about navigating his cruiser. I'll switch to AP if they get closer or I am given a favorable angle that has a high likelihood for a citadel shot. Now of course all of this regarding cruiser policies depends on the cruiser itself....If I'm targeting a Minotaur or Brisbane, even at range, it's always AP in those cases because of how easily those ships can be blown up at distances greater than 8-10 km's. The same concept can be applied to Pan-Asian cruisers, though it's better to catch 'em with AP when they're angled as opposed to a broadside in my experiences. It seems like I get either higher damage per salvo or a death strike altogether.
