I hope a DD version is coming soon Personally, I love GK, as long as Oprah hasn't passed out DD's to the lobby LOL. The GK just has a fun factor that I don't get with some of the others, but that's 100% subjective from player to player. Sniping from the back just isn't my favorite play style.

I actually went with GK first….and love they ship…I have 3 Karkens with it. I went with Conqueror next. I’m now doing the Yamoto…mostly cause I got the golden camo in a free crate during the New Years. If I didn’t have that I’d be doing the Montana cause I like the Iowa. I also did the Kleber first and am now doing the Shima….next will be the gearing.

I went with the Montana first only cause I loved the Iowa and I maxed most of the American ship lines which made getting the ship the easiest of the 4.

Great video Derka. I have had great success in the Yamato as well. Not so much the Montana. If you run Hyde on the GK, you can get 5 heals. Just as aside, you mentioned people generally do not play the Yamato correctly. For the benefit of newer players, I would suggest a video on how to play it correctly. Might help some of the more seasoned potatoes as well

Well considered, Derka. I’m on Team Conqueror. I think, like you alluded, Yamato has the lowest skill floor, but I believe Conq has the highest skill ceiling. Good positioning, situational awareness, shell choice, etc. reward Conq captains with greater returns IMO. It’s my second favorite BB in the game behind Warspite.

Personally I like the yamato because of the overmatching ability and if you okay it right it can be extremely tanky ( with a saturated superstructure). It has pretty bad dispersion at far ranges but usually i like to play more aggressive. ( 55% torp reduction is the reason why I play aggressive)

I will eventually have the Yamato and I am getting really close in the Yamato Bureau Project. I'm only a segment away from the last segment. I am at the 5th stage of the 2nd to last segment, when the 5th stage is done and the segment will be completed I will be on the last segment in the Yamato bureau project. I can't wait to play with the ship and I will be excited to use it in battles. I think I will have the ship by mid or late July. Happy battling! :)

I mostly agree with you but not for Montana, it would still be 3rd but not that far behind from Conq. i think you really should try a reload build on Montana, i find it way better than a precision build, and surprisingly really tanky, but still the first place is almost a tie for me, as Conqueror can be played with many different build unlike Yamato (a -30sec turret traverse catch a lot of people off guard) But all in all i find neither of these 4 to be the strongest BB in game, T7 Jean Bart is my bet for this, it can basicaly counter anything, reload in 16sec while having still 17km range, good armor and secondaries, and good speed/rudder i can debate on this for Yamato but (in my opinion) JB is stronger than every other BBs in game (just to point out, i have almost 1.6 million potential damages in it) and don't forget that i might be biased as its my most played ship, but having almost every BBs in game i think i can say i'm an experienced player 😅

I'm researching Yamato right now as of January 2023 on PS5. I'm predicting it to be finished if I don't stop around possibly November 2023. And I'm researching it as a Carrier player to. My strategy with it is probably what yours is, and my strategy in a lot of other BBs: Simply Provide Fire support for the DDs until its safe enough to push. I'm probably going to do Conquer after Yamato. The reason is I love both the IJN and RN in real life

If I had to pick one for someone's "first" legendary. And they hadn't speced many resources into a specific nation or type of commander I'd have to go with Yamato. There's a much lower skill gap in BBs as opposed to DDs. I'd never tell anyone new to go for a legendary DD, even the cruisers while tough (like alaska) is "easier" to play but gets removed very easily with even a slightly bad play. Yes the Yamato can too but it's more difficult *. But atleast with the Yamato they could get a sense of "power" being able to overmatch so many different ships that I think someone would enjoy more games in the Yamato than they would in the Shimakazi or Alaska. I'd also NEVER suggest a light cruiser as a first legendary.

The more important thing to do is go learn how to actually drive them before you set foot in a legendary game. Support your cruisers, and keep cruisers, and BBs off of them while they kill destroyers.

For me is yammy/conqueror Montana and last gk i'm sorry from someone have play pc version gk here and german bb in general are just a big joke with the secondaries,have really hard difficulties to touch ships and the pen are really bad doesen't work at all,and that insane amount of hp on that superstructure and no cancealment module when yammy and conqueror have that(this one is a big joke) and rng on this game are really insane lol. Only have Yamato and hits like a freight train! I get stressed out about being on fire so GK will not be my top choice for chill sessions. I want a Battleship you can brawl with and even the Germans don't seem as good as I'd want them to be. I Guess my years of playing Tanks warped my perception of brawling....

On GK, I swapped will to rebuild for the fight fire with fire (or whatever its called) legendary perk. Makes it much more tolerable. I also took off flammable cannoneer. Sure, you'll be set on fire, but it is a very noticeable difference in how often and how much damage you lose.

I'm very new to this game (serious new) That means actually taking time to learn about the mechanics and researching my way around, asking for advice etc. What is the difference between a premium ship and a legendary ship? I have an idea, that premium ships you can buy, but legendary only come with completing Bureau's? I keep skipping from one Bureau challenge to another, so I've always got at least 2 with a premium account, plus I'll swap every 24 hours with both (if that makes sense?).

Tech tree ship: tiers 1- 8. found on the "ships" portion of the main menu. Free to play with a little grinding. Premium ship: tiers 1-8. Cost Doubloons, can be found in the shop or campaigns. Come with bonuses to credit and XP earning. Legendary ships: tier 9 Found in the bureau, and at the end of some campaigns (Minotaur). Stalingrad can also be purchased for global (green) XP

Hi there. Just started playing this game on PS5, and went looking for guidance after today completing the "Introduction to the Bureau". This video talks about 4 choices, but I see 16 options! It would appear that (since I have Premium) I can choose two Projects? So would the recommendation here to go for Yamato first still hold in August of 2022? Are the Birthday projects worth bothering? Yamato or conqueror would still my top choices for battleships, yes. Both very good and EASY to do well in.

I personally like flanking when I get the opportunity, so which of the lt battleships would you think to be the best at . I’m kinda going between Montana and GK , mainly cause Monty has that great speed and the ability to absolutely take people at that are broadside which I end up having a lot in flanking ships , while it could be easier to get into position and hold the position behind the enemy in the Grober Kurfürst ? What do you think and and anyone else reading this .

Hey Atomic. I feel like Monty is made for that really. You could even boost her speed a little if you really wanted to be a flanker. Truly all battleships are fantastic if you can pull a flank off. Yammie might be the most inept here bc she is slower

IMO I think there really isn't a "best" BB, bc all of them are strong in their own merit. Conqueror: High DPM, insane HE, super heals GK: High HP, turtleback, good seondaries Yamato: Overmatch everything, accurate guns, good concealment Montana: Good sniper, good armor, high penetration
