I might be a battleship lover but I can't be the only one who feels that more BB's should be this accurate or close to. BB's have been getting beat on over and over with more and more undetectable DD's coming out and cruisers who will rip your health apart from 15-16KM but the battleships aren't allowed to hit them. or when you do it's just over pens. can't get close to a cruiser either because they'll just torp you to death. the strength of a BB is it's guns, so let them hit stuff

The shell velocity on this ship should be higher than the other 16" armed USN BBs. WG plays a lot of balancing games with ballistics, but this ship would have been equipped with the Mk2 or Mk3 gun, a 16"'/50 weapon. It was initially designed for a 2150lbs shell at 2800fps. When deployed as coastal defense guns, they used the same 2250lbs shell (more or less) as the Mk5 gun on the Colorados at a muzzle velocity of 2700fps. In contrast, the fast BBs used the Mk6 gun (NC and SoDak) and Mk7 gun (Iowa and Montana), both of which fired the 2700lbs shell at 2300fps and 2500fps respectively. So, yeah, the Kansas should have a quicker flight time than what we're used to--and greater pen at close range.

yes, the kansas' shells are faster than massa and bama, but a tad bit slower than the iowa. kansas: 762 m/s iowa: 768 m/s alabama and massachusetts: 701 m/s

The Kansas does not have super heavy armor piercing so it’s shells are light and fly much faster in trade for loosing angle pen

Does anybody know how the campaign catch up mechanic works? Can I make progress towards top 4 and top 3 finish missions at the same time? Or do I have to complete 25 top 4 games to start making progress to the 15 top 3 mission? The patch says catch-up mechanic enabled, which allows you to complete any prior week’s missed challenges. Thanks.

I just got the Kansas, personally I think it’s a good ship but since I have the Kansas nor William sims maxed it is very frustrating when you have a 16.6km range with somers and fletchers.

Honestly neither of them are preferable for a brawler build as they are primarily reliant on their accuracy... That being said Iowa would be the better brawler as it has better armor profiles which means taking less damage while angled well. Just remember up close and personal Iowas steering is awful so gotta pay attention to who may be sending torps your way

Did they nerf the NC when they buffed Kansas? I have played a couple games recently that even when I was using my spotting planes I had to double take and make sure I was in a USN BB and not a KMS BB

I’d play Kansas more. But WG gave me Alabama out of a super Santa crate the other day so I’ve been occupied with the god of tier 7. But when they gave New Mexico a similar buff she quickly became one of my more played tier V’s.

Cunningham helps shell grouping not dispersion. Dispersion would be AL Scharnhorst.

Been running Lee on it with the 5 heals and Megatron for extra range. It's a dominant ship if angled properly. Colorado on steroids.

Kansas' armor is ok. It's the layout that causes it to be less than ideal. She sits high in the water and her upper deck is high and flat so it eats shells even when angled. Her guns were always accurate, its was the tradeoff for having such a slow reload. This buff though is most welcome to make her more viable.

Why does kansas has 32 sec reload in here, in pc version it has that annoying 40 sec reload, and also its very accurate

@@SpartanElite43 its not enough, the pen is trash, the arcs are cleveland ones, the shell are a lame colorado's, the speed of shell beyond 15 kms cant pen sh1t and is slow AF, the speed of the ship is a buffed wyoming, the dispersion is random AF(x2), the AA is decent but can be mocked.
