@@christopherburke2348 I found Atdi and I was in my aggressive teenage punk years, then Sparta was my favorite band, I could never stand mars Volta, it was just chaotic and sounded like people stoned and jamming.

As a punk rawk kid growing up around El Paso I can say that Jim Ward has always been a straight up guy. He fought the stuff that they tried to feed us. In a situation like that he has always spoken out loud.

Wake up Can you hear me? You're so clever Did you find me? In the backroom In your closet In your suitcase There's no running I will find you Like the glacier Cuts the seabed Leaving canyons In your cheekbones Passing through you In the shadows Scenes undo you Cut your ribbon As it follows you Everything, everything How can you sleep at night As it falls apart Anything, anything How can you sleep at night Face it Can you hear it? Violation You'll remember It's all harmless Incidental Disengaging These thoughts break you Conscious, vicious It has found you Monovision Synapse fails you Frequent syndrome Stings and burns through Monovision Then dilutes you Cut your ribbon As it follows you Everything, everything How can you sleep at night As it falls apart Anything, anything How can you sleep at night As it follows you Everything, everything How can you sleep at night As it falls apart Anything, anything How can you sleep at night Can you escape these motives? There are 2 mixes of this song. One is sharp and tightly produced, but there is another that is grittier and sloppier and rocks soooo hard. I'd love to compare the two. It really shows how Much a producer can change a song, or even the mix. The simple choices you make.

honestly guys, this music is so amazing. Just because something is "experimental" doesn't mean that its better than other things. What really makes music amazing, is when a person puts their heart and soul into it. That's how Sparta is. However, that's just how thing are for me (if there's not enough heart in the music I usually get bored). For me TMV is mostly experimental and not enough heart so kinda bores me

The mars volta has gone out to be more succesful and sold more records than sparta mainly because the lead singer cedric and the very talented guitarist went forward with TMV, but What I do admire about Sparta's Frontman is that he never forgot where he came from. No matter what Music, Woman, Drugs one cant forget. In fact TMV visit El Paso on the holidays but they dont stick around. There is better weed in amsterdam LOL
